Hi, i have challenged TSB over some charges, just over £1500 in total, i have received an offer from them of £750, i need to discuss with someone as i am willing to accept a little more, to save any more inconvenience and get it all sorted, they are also planning on paying it into an account i no longer use within 10days.
I have tried to contact them on all the numbers i hace, 01264 832297/01264 832915 and 01264 725214 all theses numbers are never answered then it says that the holders voice mail box is full.
Can anybody please help me and pass on a number that i can speak to a human being on please?
Thanks0 -
Hi
New here so apologise if i have posted in the incorrect place - i sent LTSB a letter which i got from this website requesting charges with interest and a copy of my statements highlighting the charges and a breakdown of the interest. I phoned LTSB to ascertain where i should send this as was given this address:
Customer service recovery centre
Charlton Place
Andover
Hampshire
SP10 1RE
I have received a very nice letter from them today saying sorry you are unhappy about your charges... like any business we do make a charge for some of our extra services. It goes on with lots of flowery spill about how they make customer aware of their charges and they are working with OFT.
They end the letter stating i do hope you can see our charging system is as fair as possible and why i cant agree to cancel your charges.
They have also said that if we cannot come to an agreement they will provide me with details of the Financial Ombudsman service.
I am a bit lost as to what i need to do next? is this letter a fob off and do i continue with the 2nd letter of threatening court action?
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks

Just go all the way Mandy, I think we have got them on the run!!!
RBOS paid me £2737- in full
Barclaycard paid me £236 -40%
RBOS Visa paid me £87 -30%
AE paid me £17 -20%
Lloyds TSB paid £750 but now want to negotiate on the outstanding £3250 but its to late as i want to go to court now as I feel brave.
Make sure your paper work is impecable, and study this web site for information before sending letters etc.
Good Luck!

I've had a Lloyds account for a long time now, and always made use of an overdraft facility. This used to be charged at £8 (which rose to £10) for the month that you were overdrawn.
Lloyds went through a stage of upgrading the account to have additional "Free" services such as travel insurance etc. and then craftily introduced an regular account charge for the added value account.
I believe I can claim the fees prior to this change to the account ? Can anyone confirm?
Also can anyone confirm when Lloyds introduced the regular account fee for the added value account (Gold Service) and dropped the overdraft fee as a result ?
Thanks

Lloyds TSB
22/6/07
Amount Claimed - £1738.74 (£1518.74 Charges + interest; £120 Court Fee; £100 Allocation Questionnaire)
Amount Offered - £1752.39 (The above + interest accrued on charges since the beginning of the journey)
I have followed the advice of MSE to the letter, and went as far as posting the Allocation Questionnaire - about 9.15 this morning. At 10am, two letters from Sechiari Clark and Mitchell - the first I opened said that they were to defend the case. The second one, without prejudice, basically set out how they felt that their charging was legal, and that my claim for repayment was misconceived. I turned to the next page, and it said that they are willing to settle in full, including an extra £13.65!!!!
Result, and for any one else on the journey, hang on in there!
Cheers to all the MSE staff

UPDATE 29/6/07 - Checked Internet Banking, and the whole amount has been credited to my account!!!! :beer:0 -

Went home yesterday and had a letter from the Ombudsman saying that Lloyds had agreed to pay me £440 !!!
I can't believe it, I only claimed for £348 !!!!!
I've been charged since I started the claim though so that makes up for it.
God bless the FOS and Martin lewis !
