I am doing the process on behalf of my son and husband, they have both just received a letter from Lloyds TSB in reply to letter 3 sent at the beginning of May, 'requesting refund or take to court'.

It contained a leaflet 'Your complaint and the Ombudsman' and an apology for taking so long. saying 'Please bear with us so that we may try to reach an amicable conclusion. I will continue to monitor the progress of your complaint and would liek to take this chance to thank you for your continued patience'.

What do I do now - do I send the next letter or wait another couple of weeks. or contact the ombudsman.

Also if we do the next letter (letter 5) can I change the time given them from 14 days to say 28 days. Im not confident about doing all of this and would prefer the longer time scale.
I'm stressed enough over this - please don't add to it.

Its absolute Rubbish that you have to include everything that tells you to put in the POC, I have never ever sent a letter recorded delivery special delivery etc...I have basically put on my Poc reclaim of bank charges plus interest and costs...You dont have to be a mini solicitor, do any of you not think that the judge knows you are all copying templates etc...not only do the courts know but also the banks solicitors...Never quote law if you dont understand it.
The chances are..the judge will ask you to explain the sum as to how you have calculated your interest, this you will need to completely understand.
