I called Lloyds TSB today regarding a charge made to my account.
I was 21p over my overdraft limit in March and was then charged £30 on May 1st. The first time I called and after 10 minutes waiting eventually got through and told I needed to call a number of a centre which deals specifically with charges. The number was of no use and did not allow me to speak to an advisor. Again I called the helpline and again after 10 minutes waiting to get through to an advisor was told that charges run from the 2nd of a month to the 2nd of the following month. I was overdrawn on April 2nd by £90.21 (due to £90 charges) and told that was why I recieved the charge. I questioned the viability of running 2nd to the 2nd and not the 2nd to the 1st of the month, and which would include the second 2nd of each month twice and told that yes the charge would be charged again in June for being overdrawn on the 2nd of April. I was told that someone would call me back. As yet noone has called and I doubt they will.
I have already wrote to request a refund for previous charges. The 14 day limit of my second letter is up on Monday.0 -
hi
has anyone had any luck reclaiming charges from yorkshire bank??
ive looked but cant find any success stories ......pls help!!
i sent my dpa subject access request to them on 7th nov 2006 had a standard letter saying they are in the process of gathering my statements up!!!!!! (noticed my £10 cheque had been cashed within days.):o
Hi I sent first letter on the 27/02/2007 have received 2 letters saying that they are inundated with requests for info. As the 40 days has run out without any joy I have reported them to the Information Commissioner, and also requested an estimated some of £3750 back with in 14 days or legal action will be taken. This amount is far beyond what they actually owe, but lets see if it gets their backsides into gear, let you know what happens.0 -
Hi, I sent letter 1 to YOB and received a reply saying they had accepted my 10 quid and were processing my application. I have since received a letter from Clydesdale Bank saying that due to the overwhelming amount of applications, they could not provide my statements etc within in the time period. They asked me to be patient and they would supply when they could or I could report them to the banking ombudsman????
My question is whether this is a stalling method by the bank or is it genuine? I tend to think that they have in deed been inundated with requests and this may well be genuine.
regards and thanks in advance for replys
Received exact replies, my first letter dated 27/02/2007,sent same request to Northern Rock on the same date and it went right to small claims before settling 2 weeks ago. I THINK THEY ARE STALLING!!!0 -

Not sure if this is the right place to write this i'm new! have an ongoing dispute with lloyds for £450 for charges for going over my overdraft limit and returned direct debits. Their reply says that these are not default charges but charges for dealing with my request to go over my agreed limit. I have never agreed to this...surely the charges are unlawful. can I still pursue my claim?0

I got this letter yesterday and sent off my next letter requesting charges PLUS the now-new interest but i have a question... when they send a "gesture of good will" offer, and accept it, do you keep on going for the full amount? if so, do you get them both if you win in court? (the charges PLUS their gesture of good will) both credited to my account?
thanksRest in Peace, Emily. Say hi to Robbo for me xxx

The text Start is a link which leads me to the text below:
"Do you wish to enter Judgment by Default or by Admission? Please select one of the options below:
The defendant has not filed an admission or defence to my claim
(Judgment by Default)
You will need to decide, how and when you want the defendant to pay. You can ask for the Judgment to be paid by instalment or in one payment.
The defendant admits that all the money is owed
(Judgment by Admission)
If the defendant has given a new address on the form of admission to which correspondence should be sent, update the defendant's details within the following Judgment request."
Any advice on what I should do?
Hi
My claim with TSB also started on 23rd April and they have until 13th May to defend. The date is on the Notice of Issue you will have recieved from the Court.
the 13th is a sunday so i hope that after Friday the Solicitors will not be working and I will be able to submit judgement against them

Lloyds TSB Claim.
I'm due in court on 17th May against Lloyds TSB. I have just received a letter from their solicitor asking for information regarding my claim, including
1. Each and every individual amount of the charge that I am claiming and am disputing.
2. The date of each and every charge that I say was deducted from my account.
3. How I calculate the interest.
4. How I calculate the sum claimed.
5. To confirm my sort code and bank account number.
This has been received by me today (4/5/07) and I have been asked to respond within 14 days, which by my calculation will take it past the court date anyway.
Has anybody else received letters from the banks solicitors???? Is this an indication that they are likely to turn up in court and defend it - if so, I'm getting a bit jittery.
Would appreciate any advise - anyones got.
Cheers.0
