anyone hear anything from brian yet, still no sign of anyone else gettting refunds. ive been back with police today they have asked me to tell anyone owed money to contact there local force. so that they can get all the cases linked together, the more poeple report there loss the better the case.

Below is EU Concumer center response,,,,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for contacting the UK European Consumer Centre.

I have received an update from our counterpart ECC regarding your case. My colleague advised me that neither of the two addresses exists (first was 314 James street from RSI site second reported here on forum1001 Clontarf street)and that there is no record of this company in the Irish business registers. As we discussed, the ‘SARL’ (Soci!t! à Responsabilit! Limit!e) in the trader’s name would suggest that the company is registered in one of the following countries: France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Macau, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia or Lebanon. Please find attached the case sheet from our system, you will see the exchange of communications between me and the ECC Ireland.

My colleague pointed out that even the bank account is held in a bank in Northern Ireland (part of the United Kingdom) rather than the Republic of Ireland. Given the amount of the inaccuracies, we have reasons to believe that this is not a legitimate trader and we would suggest you to report the matter to the Police.

The address on the traders website is either wrong or bogus, as James Street in Dublin has less than 200 numbers, i.e. there is no 314. They are also not listed in the Irish companies house. What do you think? Kind regards, Caroline The acronym SARL (Soci!t! à Responsabilit! Limit!e) would suggest registration in France or Luxembourg (or Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, etc.) but, quite frankly, I don’t think this “trader” is registered anywhere (red star = china?).
  • Interesting find vadim111, I hope you and the others get sorted asap, I count myself as one of the lucky ones!

I believe RSI and Brian are genuine (I and others have been refunded) but I cannot make sense of that above information. Perhaps they were using a mailbox in Dublin? Brian did tell me they have a Euro and a GBP pounds accounts in the UK AND Ireland. One would think they would have accounts outside of the UK and Ireland if they were fraudulent, makes no sense to open an Irish or UK account to defraud people.

My advice is to work it out with Brian, it worked for me and others (some on this forum), failing that? each to their own, its your money at the end of the day.
  • Hi All,
