  • Well done to all those who have lost since I last posted!

Me? Well, I've had two massive shocks this week. First off, weigh in. Last week I was on holiday for a few days. I had pizza hut, pub lunches and I had a little more alcohol than normal. I was hoping to STS at the most, and had prepared myself for a gain. Nope. I lost 2.5lb!

Second shock actually came on the bus yesterday morning. I was on the lower deck of a double decker and they had a monitor showing images from the CCTV cameras on it. Every now and then I looked at the screen and caught sight of a woman with a brown wavy hair and a black coat. I thought to myself "why can't I look more like that - her coat really pulls her waist in. And my hair's normally frizzy". The woman on the screen was me!!!!!! oops! Maybe I don't look so bad now!

I know a bit about them, but they're not officially released yet so can't help. I haven't found the changes confusing though and I think that most people will get their head around them easily. Nothing's really changing to the basic plan, but there will be more options to make it work for you.

    Mysterious little thing ain't I?!

1lb lost for me this week, taking me to TWO AND A HALF STONES :j

Its like being teased i wish she hadnt said anything. i am not the most patientperson in the world im afraid.
i am glad the changes arent too great. now i will try and be a big girl and be PATIENT:)

The difference losing 18 lb makes was really highlighted for me today when i was getting ready for wrok.

I have to wear a suit when in court and have one black one and one navy one. i usually wear the the black one (skirt suit), looks more official this morning my darling white cat decided to pull the jacket off the hanger and sleep on it. i didnt have time to brush it all off so put the navy one on ( trousers suit) the trousers fell off my tummy ,which is now quite reduced, the legs no longer pulled and they were so long
i had to dig out really high heels to be able to wear them.

time to go shopping for some new clothes i think. charity shops here i come not buying good replacements until i reach target.
hope they have some suits in.

It's a great feeling isn't it! My work trousers have had to go to the charity shop, as they just won't stay up any more! Thankfully I've still kept trousers that were too small for me, and I'm now getting back into them but i'm thinking I'm going to have to start saving some money for the whole new wardrobe I'm going to need if ( when) I lose the next 2 stone I need to lose!

I joined weight watchers online on 1st January this year because you got cashback through quidco...at the time I didn't think I would be able to do it and it was the first time I had ever been on a diet so I didn't tell anybody what I was doing in case I failed miserably. Since then I had numerous comments about the fact I had lost weight but I denied being on a diet because I didn't want focus on me until my boss asked me if I was poorly because I had lost weight and wasn't on a diet so the secret was officially out of the bag in September. I just stepped on the scales this morning and have got my 75lb loss star but instead of feeling happy I feel really disgusted with myself that I have had that much weight to lose in the first place and still have 16lb to go before I am no longer classed as overweight. I'm also aware that I have lost weight because I've had to buy new clothes but when I look in the mirror I don't see anything different and just wanted to put my thoughts out there because I feel it would be easier for me to talk to people on here than face to face. Sorry for intruding on your thread with my moaning!!

  • Hi Vicki - wow you have done amazingly! Very impressed It took me 5 months to loose 15lbs! Welcome to the thread you will be a huge inspiration to everyone! Seems to me you might be feeling depressed? Is that possibly why you are looking at ur amazing success like you are and being really hard on urself? Last week I go my oh to take some photos of me in a bikini as it was the only way I could get a reality check on how I look now rather than seeing how I looked in May. Try to be kind to urself, you really have done something amazing. none of us can change the past - what is done is done & its futile beating ourselves up for past mistakes and only unhappiness can come of that route - however you have done what a huge percentage of people can't do & made some huge changes & better choices for urself for the future. Stay strong & keep posting x

Thank you for your kind words... I actually cried reading that- proving I must have officially lost the plot!! I'm off shopping now to buy some new trousers because one of my colleagues yesterday told me it looks like I have stolen somebody elses clothes because they don't fit- I only bought a smaller size 3 weeks ago! I know I should be really happy about what I've done but I think keeping it a secret for so long has made it really difficult for me to talk about it plus I now have a major addiction to my exercise bike so I now have to spend more time out of the house because I will sit on it all day....when I bought it in February I could do 5 mins then would get off because I was sweating! :rotfl:Hopefully clothes shopping will cheer me up...failing that I got my new weeklies today so chocolate cake might be better!

  • Welcome vicki83 - you've done so well.
I've lost another 1.5 pounds this week.

None of my work clothes fit at the moment, I can get away with the tops but the trousers keep falling down! Fortunately I've got clothes in smaller sizes that I can wear. Our leader set us a goal in mid september to lose a stone by Christmas, so that was a pound a week, and I think I'm still on target for that.

  • Vicki, welcome! That is an amzing weight loss, you should feel really really proud of yourself. I know what you mean about not telling people though. I didn't tell them for a different reason than you though, it was because I didn't want them thinking " Here we go again" so I thought this time I'd just get on and do it. I have lost two stone, but still got at least two stone to go ( and three to be within my bmi) and had to have my photo taken for a Costco card yesterday. I looked absolutely awful, and nearly cried on the spot. If I still look that fat now, how bad did I look two stone ago?
You, however, are now only 16lb away from being a good weight again, and should be shouting from the rooftops!:T
