Hi Everyone
Just thought i would join in with this thread. Ive been a member of WW off and on for a few years and this year i decided no more yo yo dieting and that i was going to make a real effort this year. So since Jan ive lost 50lbs im really pleased, ive got about a stone left to go. My problem is that im starting to lose focus, ive not been back to class for 4 weeks since got my 50lb certificate and i fear im at the start of the slippery slope! So im going to start afresh tomorrow, get pointing again and looking for some motivation to get to the end of my journey. Looking forward to getting to know you all xIt’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts0 -
Welcome Mackeroo! 50lbs is fantastic, so well done you. I've been gonig since March and would love to hit a 30lb target this week!0

Well done everyone who managed to post a loss last week.
How I managed not to gain weight last week I will never know, I had a real meltdown and wasn't pointing for at least half the week yet I didn't gain anything infact I'ma amassive 100g's lighter. LOL!
I obviously should have checked in here again a bit sooner to get myself back on track because Vicki and Mackaroo you really are amazing. I don't know how you've managed to stay so motivated for such a long time. Really well done.
Vicki i know what you mean about the exercise bike addiction, I think I'm heading down the same path having recently bought a bike myself and am realy enjoying using it.52 Week Challenge £10/£1378

I think I have finally got my head round 75% of this...:D
- Eat properly - no starves
- No calorie counts - healthy and proper portions (can do that)
- If ya hungry and feeling nauseous you need to eat
- the odd doughnut is not the end of the world
- Likewise mayo (cheap) in salad and pitta again is fine...as is cheese (grated) (foods I had previously been avoiding)...just no cheese at night. An egg is better.
and just as filling
- Scales little and not often....they only stress you out!!!
- Exercise where you can (i.e don't take the bus unless you're mega tired) but don't feel you have to exercise. If ya that tired - take the bus!!!
- work at coming off coffee - it's bad for the brain
- Menu plan (cheap healthy recipes...Don't know the link for the thread)
. Still need your prayers though cos as doc says...as soon as I get unwell I will starve no matter how rubbish it makes me feel

I just wondered how many exercise people earn each week, I was doing 16 points a day but have been told thats too much cos i dont eat the points so i cut it down to 8 yesterday but feel lazy now not doing enough never in a million years did i think i would be addicted to exercise!!SLIMMING WORLD 13/5/2012- 6lb loss total weight loss 5 stone 8lb

Hi Vicki. WOW! 16 points a day is a lot. I tend to do between 6-9 points a day. That tends to work out at about an hour a day of exercise which I diecided was probably enough for me at the moment.
I must admit I'm a bit wary of doing loads of exercise and not using the points as I did that a bit when i did WW a few years ago and it didn't really help with the weight loss, infact the weeks I did more exercise and didn't use the points I found that I wasn't actually losing anymore weight. I just think my body has a limit to how much it will give up each week.
So if I do more exercise now without using the points I will just view it as a step towards being fitter rather than a way of losing more weight.
Since doing propoints I've been doing exercise and using the points and I've still lost weight so that's good enough for me.52 Week Challenge £10/£1378

welcome mackeroo! OMG I am in aw of you & vicki!!!! I have been so proud of my 15lb loss! lol
Vicki re exercise I try to run for about 40mins & power walk for 10mins every other day for 6pp (3 days pw)
I am now going to start swimming for 30-40mins alternate days (2 or 3 days pw & 1 day of rest). I didn't use activity points unless I had gone over & try to see exercise as helping with the overall look of my body as well as general mental wellbeing.DF as at 30/12/16

thanks for your opinions i will try my hardest to not do too much exercise now although 2 days in at doing 8 points worth i feel lazy...what has happened to me!! on another note i just got weighed and it looks like i with get my 5.5 stone star this week yay!!! 14lbs to go! I was talking to someone yesterday who is 4 inches shorter than me and she has been told she needs to loose a stone to not be overweight but that's what i have been told surely that 4 inches in height difference makes a difference? I have had so many positive comments this week from people i have not seen in a while and feel a bit silly now for my little wobbly over the weekend I do wish i had gone to the classes now cos i have been told you get prizes when you get your stars...you reckon they will back date them lol!!
I have an appointment with the nurse today because when i went for my flu jab the other week i noticed there was a pop up on my notes that said on obesity register so i want that gone! And she also said i may have lost my weight too fast- i thought 2lbs a week was good so will see what she saysSLIMMING WORLD 13/5/2012- 6lb loss total weight loss 5 stone 8lb

Hi Vicki
There's nothing to say that you can't give yourself a "prize" when you reach a one of your weight loss milestones. If you haven't been rewarding yourself then I reckon you're due quite a big reward, you certainly deserve it.
I agree with you height should make a difference, it certainly does if you look at the height / weight charts. And as for the wobble, we all have those from time to time. Don't worry about it. And really well done, 5.5 stone is an amazing achievement. I'm in awe. You're certainly an inspiration.
And yes I think you're right 2lb a week is good, that's certainly what we're always told.52 Week Challenge £10/£1378

Hello all - I've 'only' lost one pound this week, which I'm happy with as I wasn't expecting anything. It also takes me to my 10% which is good! Only another 25lb to go now.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0
