  • determined, hope you have a nice day. It was horrible, as it went within 20 minutes of arriving there, I think it may have been on one of the underground escalators. Unfortunately it had £100 in, as I'd got it out rather than having to find cash points. So spent the first half hour in the hotel having to phone my husband to cancel cards etc. Fortunately, my mum was with us so she paid for everything, but I really don't know what we'd have done otherwise.

And it was my favourite Radley purse too.... ( bought in the sale!)
  • Well done f_f, you must feel amazing!

Sorry to hear you lost the wrong sort of pounds minty; that sort of thing can wreck your day.

On another matter, I am back at home so now more in control of my eating.

    Yesterday:-
WW bread toasted - banana 3pp
    WW bar 2pp
lunch - chicken (skinless breast) (?4pp - beetroot salad 0pp

packet of sweet chilli crisp things 2pp

Tea was HM chilli and rice - around 10pp

    Today so far

    Weetabix 4pp

lunch is going to be hm veg soup for 0pp

But ... I am going to allow myself fish and chips tonight - not sure its a good idea, the day before WI but its a payday treat!

Happy Halloween guys...... I dont know about you ladies but I am seriously considering being bah humbug this year just so I dont have to buy chocs etc which dont all get given away so I eat them!! Plus work has loads of chocs etc for the same reason, have only succumbed a couple of times on stressful days...

I lost 1.5lbs this week which has gained me a little star on my ww online tracker and I've just slipped below a stone marker which is lovely.

I'm just off out to see a friend who Ive not seen since just before I started WW - will she notice Ive lost a little? Could go either way, I still have stones to lose..... Have a good weekend guys xx

Can I ask you all a really silly question? At what point in your weightloss journeys did you start to actually feel different / good about yourselves? I'm currently at that awkward stage where some of my clothes are too loose and the next size down is still 'too tight' although when I take people shopping with me, they say the clothes fit fine. I feel fatter than I am :o
When I managed to do up my first pair of size 14 trousers in years :D

The size 14s I have are now getting a little loose, so I'm now aiming to be shopping for size 12s in the post-Christmas sales. Just wait until you're comfortable wearing the next size down. I wore size 18 trousers for weeks until they were just too loose and I had to go and buy new ones. I wasn't comfortable in a 14 as I thought they were too tight and I would look worse, but started getting lots of compliments which made me think it might not be as bad as I thought.

Sometimes it takes longer for your brain to catch up with your new look I think :D

hey gang - happy weekend! just weighed myself and have lost 0.5lb - better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick :D

trip to London was good, but both expensive in £s & lbs/pps! Lucky yesterday is my weeklies renewal day so although it took a hit not the end of the weight loss world :p Added bonus is we walked for hours at least 4 over the course of the day but actually probably more! We were out for 12 hours! so am giving myself 6pp for walking :T

    So me today:

B: warburtons squarish wrap with LF peanut butter & banana 6pp
    milk 1pp
    L: BNS soup & roll 5pp
    D: chicken pasta bake & veg 10pp
    S: fruit, wine 3x175ml 12pp

    total 34pp - still have 19weeklies left :D
going to go for a lovely run after my breakfast has gone down. Hope everyone has a lovely day x

minty - sorry to hear about your horrible experience in London. What a rotten thing to happen.

I had dinner out with my husband last night. Nothing fancy - just at the Harvester. But I'd just been to Bravissimo to be fitted for a new bra, and the sight of myself in the changing room mirrors just about tipped me over the edge. Just reminded me how grotesque I look at the moment (I am very good at avoiding mirrors everywhere else). So I went and ate and ate and ate and ate in the Harvester. Never really believed in comfort eating before, but that was definitely what it was!

    Yesterday's total therefore is

    Lunch
Cauliflower and Blue Cheese soup - 4 points
    2 Ryvita - 2 points
    Pate - 3 points
2 x WW lemon and currant cookies - 2 points

Now - I can't find my copy of the Eat Out book (where the devil HAVE I put it!), so I am using the trick of taking total calories and dividing by 40 to get to near enough the points values. so . . .

    Dinner
Salad with a spoonful of blue cheese dressing
1 bread roll with butter (definitely comfort eating - I *never* have bread with my meal, whether I'm trying to lose weight or not)
Plantation platter for 1 (minus the corn cob! - don't know what happened to that)
    Fries
We shared a "selection of sides" - I didn't actually eat much of them.
Honeycomb explosion Sundae (left half the ice cream bit of it - was really stuffed by that point!)

All of which I added up to 50 points. *faints*

However, on the up side - that's just making use of the slush fund, which I rarely ever dip into. So actually, although it was a L-O-O-O-O-O-O-T of food, I don't think I've actually gone over my points quota, have I? I also managed 2 activity points according to the pedometer.

I did have the DIET Pepsi though - so not altogether lacking in virtue :rotfl:

Today I've reigned it right back, and I've had porridge with skimmed milk for 5 points, and some 0 point soup.

Think I'm making the WW Thai Green Curry for dinner tonight, which is 8 points, which I will have with 300g (cooked weight) basmati rice for 8 points and a naan bread - no idea of points. 4?

I am again avoiding mirrors, but don't feel QUITE as bad today as I did after the Bravissimo experience last night.

I keep telling myself that that is the last time I will ever look THAT grotesque. I might still look grotesque when I go back in a couple of months to make sure i'm still wearing the right size, but it'll be a thinner grotesque :rotfl:
  • aw hootie don't be so hard on urself x remember we are our harshest critics, ur oh still thinks ur gorgeous & you are doing something about it x

Well my friend DID notice I had lost a bit of weight :) And I DID buy chocolate for Halloween - am now trying to resist and have sent hubby away to work with some. I actually thought some kids would be out tonight but noone so far.....

This week is not going to be easy, dinner for my birthday on Thurs night and then cocktails and dinner on Friday with my daughter. I dont think my weeklies are going to cover it, there may be a meltdown lol
