Hi all,
and thankyou for the warm wlecome, well I went to the first meeting and really enjoyed it.
I sat down last night after the class and made a menu for the next few days and went shopping to get everything in.
I havent quite used all my points today does that matter? i have used 26 instead of the 29 they suggested the book says use them all .
I have decided to buy the ready meals for a few days and add zero pointed veg to fill out the meal until i get the hang of it , then i will try out some recipies.
Although i knew i was so over weight seeing it in black and white hurt so really need to get my head aroung this plan.0 -
I would definitely make a point of using all of your dailies if you can- I'm sure now and then it wouldn't do you any harm, but as 29 is the minimum WW will give to anyone definitely stick to it the vast majority of the time. Glad you enjoyed the meeting
You'll be used to the plan before you know it, rattling off points values in your sleep!

I know this is undoubtedly not in the spirit of healthy eating, but if I don't manage to get some sort of sweet treats in during the day I don't think I'd manage to stick to the plan at all!

ust thought I'd share one of my favourites when I'm low on leftover points - sherbet dip dabs! Only 2 pps and it takes quite a while to eat, so feels like it should be much more.:D Only cost 30p each, so pretty moneysaving as well.
Hope that helps any sweet toothed ww followers!0 -

3.5 lb lost yesterday! Very pleased about it, but it might have been even more if I ahdn't gone out for lunch yesterday. Planned on having something light, so my friend and I decided to share a starter rather than have a main meal, described as mixed grill for 2. It was absolutely massive! How anyone could have eaten a main meal after it is beyond me, there was chicken, gammon, steak, sausage, black pudding and mushrooms, but each piece would have been big enough for a main meal! Absolutley gorgeous though:rotfl:
Back on track today...0 -
Well done mintyms. 3lb off or Me too !!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:jwas worth all that hard work:A0

*sneaks in the door*
Hello all... I am overweight. There - I've admitted it publicly. To strangers, too! I have been dieting of my own accord since the beginning of the month and have lost 5lbs. I've been looking at this thread and the slimming world one for a little while and today looked up where my nearest meetings are. Lo and behold, the nearest WW meeting is a 5 minute walk from my house (if I'm walking slowly or in high heels). And the meeting is on Wednesdays. So - I'm waiting to get a text back from my mum (who is also thinking of doing WW) and if all's well, I'll be attending my first meeting tonight. Scared much?
Ideally I'd like to lose 21% of my body weight, but am breaking it down into smaller chunksDon't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0
