  • Boo.... 0.5lb ON today, and really genuinely don't know why. I did have a big buffet meal on Sunday but I'd saved most of my points for it. Feel a bit disheartened, but onward and upward ( or downward, hopefully!) we go...

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hi all im currently a ww member and pay monthly but am thinking of going it alone! I have all of the books etc but wondered is there many of you out there who have L2L and have managed to do it??

The reason im no longer willing to pay for classes is that due to my bf working on the rigs the two wks hes home the weekends are a bit of a write off! I think this is my problem, ill loose a couple of pounds when hes away then put them back on when hes back, its just so disheartening every time to be doing the same yo-yo, im hoping doing it myself will mean i dont feel so bad if i do put a pound on because im not paying for it if you get me, im just seein £20 down the drain each month which isnt very MSE!!

    Anyway my stats are:

    Current weight: 155lbs (11st 1)
    Start weight: 162lbs (11st 8)
Total loss since xmas: 7lbs :) (7lbs to go)

Wanting to get down to around 10st 7ish for July 8th when my lovely bf is taking me to Venice for my birthday!!

    Would appreciate any advice!! x

evening all...i was a member of WW last year and lost 19lb, however, i thought i could go it alone and got bored of the meetings so left just before Christmas! i started some new medication which made me constantly hungry, and i mean really hungry! i'm pretty sure i've put all 19lb back on :( i wish i had never left! anyway...drawing a line under that and learning from it!!

i'm starting back at the weekly class on Thursday and will keep you updated.

Hello, I'm thinking about joining Weight Watchers for the first time and would like to get started this coming week. I have classes near me but have also been considering just doing it online. Has anyone tried both? Which did you prefer?

Hi, I am doing it online (only on 3rd day) but can anyone point me in the direction for finding points values for things like takeaways and eating? I have found values for brand names like McDonalds but am wondering whether or not it will be possible for me to have a chinese/indian takeaway or go out to a restaurant without blowing it all.....
    Thanks

cashback from Quidco means 3 months of WW can be for free - I posted a thread on grabbit but thought there might be some lapsed WW members who fancied 3 months for free to get them back on track ( I certainly need it - I'm going to start tracking on Monday):o

I am seriously considering signing up for this and giving WW a go for 3 months. I have just had a baby (he is 9 weeks old) and before I got pregnant I was doing Slimming World and had lost some weight but I have put that back on whilst pregnant. I have a stone to lose and then I'll be back to pre-pregnancy weight but I'd like to carry on once I get there and lose as much as I can as I am overweight and I don't want to be!

Previously I found Slimming World suited me as you got free fruit and veg but I think that since they have changed the WW plan it should make it easier and less hassle to follow than it used to be when everything had a points value.

I can't afford to go to weekly meetings as my employer made me redundant since I went on maternity leave but at least if I sign up for the 3 month Cashback deal it gives me the chance to try it without losing any money.

Well that's one of my free weeks done... 4.5 lbs off:j I'm really liking the free fruit :) veg was always free apart from the really tasty stuff like tatties and parsnips:D

I've settled into it quite well, though I'm having some serious cravings for carbs and sweet things - the propoints system seems to steer you twards lean protein to use up less points. Maybe it's all in my head, but that's the way it feels at the moment.

I've still got much more to lose, though I'm now on 36 points instead of 37, so that's progress!

Not doing too well over the last day or two, too many days at home and too many easter eggs left in the house. I'll almost be glad to go back to work tomorrow, you can't pig out when you have 30 ten year olds in a room with you! I think I'll still have lost some weight tomorrow, but not as much as I would have liked.

Hi all, I'm doing Propoints- but with only my calculator for company. I paid £10 for it on ebay. Going it alone for 2 reasons: 1) I don't want to give them my money and 2) I think I'd associate going to a group with someone else being in control of my eating and I wouldn't do it!

It's going pretty well though- currently lost a stone since I weighed myself at the end of March (started counting properly on 5th April). This also makes me the lowest weight I've been for at least 2/3 years!

This is my weekly stats so far:
Week 1: (8 lbs lost from previous weighing about a week before starting)
    Week 2: 0lbs (:()
    Week 3: -4lbs
    Week 4: -2lbs
