Can I ask a quick question about propoints - I am on 29 and really struggle to eat even that many points. How do people on higher points manage to eat that much?
This has mainly come about because of my realisation that most of my weight came from snacks.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I manage quite easily lol Love ice-cream so have 3 good meals a day and have munchies at night, normally a couple of cornettos or some chocolate - it keeps me on track. I also like the odd takeaway or meal out which easily eats up the points.Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0 -
That's where I can't catch up on the points. I don't like most desserts, especially if they contain cream or ice cream.
An average day for me is
Breakfast - around 4 points
Banana mid morning
Lunch - salad, slice ham or chicken - around 5 points
which leaves me a whopping 20 points for main meal.
I drink coffee black, and tea with a tiny splash of skimmed milk - use less than a pint of milk a week!
It seems daft that I have to eat things specially to use up the points.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Im similar
Breakfast normally 5 points
Lunch normally 5 points as I add chutney or mayo to my salad
Dinner 12 - 17 points depending on what it is eg curry with naan quite high
I take milk in coffee so thats 4 points daily.
Munchies- cornetto, crackers n cheese, soleros, wine occassionally...
Im eating every point at the mo as I have a loooong way to go so dont want to make it too hard too early.... It would be nice if I didnt like desserts....!!Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0 -

Tonights dinner includes m&s tiramisu, my hubby was trying to get the whole thing to himself but I've got the points to cover it so he has no chance

I am on 29pp and manage to use all mine quite easily and dip into my weeklies too:D
I usually use my points like this
breakfast 3-6pp depending what I have and use milk from a daily allowance of 5pp for a pint, which I do use
Snack - fruit
Lunch - tuna salad plus olives and light salad cream usually 7pp
plus a yogurt with fruit and sometimes a pack of ww snacks 2pp
Dinner depends but usuall 9pp
which leaves 2pp for a snack of some sort usually ww toffee bar.
Do you like yogurts. It might help to up your protein at each meal that could help.
I work 10 hours days so have to make sure I dont go hungry. I try not to go more than 4 hours without eating something.
Hope this helpsFootiemad:footie: 2013 - SPC no.1147...Keeep potting!!

I think I have to write off the end of this week, I'm trying my best but I'm spending the weekend in a travelodge at a tiny service station so not much choice food-wise. Fortunately I'm not physically capable of eating MASSIVE quantities of food these days.
But I went to Wagamama with a friend tonight, intended to have just ramen but ended up having some duck gyoza too, which I've just found a forum post stating they were 22 OLD points- so lord knows how many propoints!:eek: I figured they'd be highish but jeez. They were tasty, but not more-than-22pps-tasty! Quite disappointed in myself for not figuring it out really
EDIT: 22 old points would've been someone's allocation, we're talking over 1000 calories here, what have I done???? Gutted
So I will definitely be over my points come Tuesday (or maybe Weds when I can WI next). Got the boredom of tomorrow, and Monday night with another friend to contend with yet (though hoping to have more pull over where we go in that case, also I will be busy all day so should have enough dailies left for that hopefully)
Hope that post made some sense!0 -
Its really difficult when you are in hotels etc. especially if its a travelodge so you are limited to service station food. Does depend on what the service station has to offer really, if they do any sort of breakfast.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

The tracking has made me realise that I don't eat much at meals, and most of my weight has come from snacking; and I was snacking because I could, not because I was hungry. I tended to snack on sandwiches or crisps, and that has now stopped.
I spend a lot of time driving, so was eating sweets in the car. Now I've found the ww fruit drops, its so much easier.
I'll just have to try to force more food down me! Which seems a weird concept when you are trying to lose weight.
Hope everyone does well this week, I've got to find a new class, as I've finished the job I was working on, so I'm in a different location.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I think this is one of the hardest lessons to learn with WWs. Our brains are trained that diet=eat less=loose weight. But that really ISNT the way it works. WWs points are worked out because thats what your body NEEDs to function, otherwise your body goes in survival mode and will hold onto energy/fat as its not getting enough on a daily basis. Its not about eating a bad choice of foods to eat your points, some 'healthy' foods that contains nutrients your body needs are still high in points. Think about your meals and see if you can add a few points here and there by changing what you eat for something a couple of more points, or adding something on the side like a yogurt, crisps, nuts etc. My cousin has realised she wasnt eating enough of her points and has had more success since.
I was a very happy bunny this morning. lost 2lbs this week (even with a 2 course TGI Fridays meal on tuesday!) and I got my second silver 7, which means I have now passed the stone mark! woohoo! Next milestone to pass=10%!0
