  • I'm not a leader by the way. I got to goal 4 years ago with WW and have joined again a few weeks ago to get rid of 10 lbs that seems to have crept on when I wasn't looking! I really like the propoints plan.:)

Oh and btw, the ww website seems to be down this morning so if that was all you had, you'd be a bit st*ffed.

Aww thanks Miss Behave, you used your 1st post for me :D I think we've decided to give the online thing a go for a week or so and see how we get on. It's a shame the site was down this morning, I hope this doesn't happen often.
I like the idea that you are free to have as much fruit and veg for zero points, I'll be stuffed to the gills lol !
    Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know for sure about this 'free' fruit and veg - our class leader said that this refers to a sensible amount each day, so not much more than the 5 a day we are meant to have anyway (and definitely no more than 1 banana a day), and that it doesn't mean you can literally eat as much as you want to, or as much as you can.

So is it the case that it's free up to a certain point (who knows what that is), or that it is free as in eat as much as you want and it doesn't matter?

    Hi Honeypop
There is no such thing as "Free" Fruit and Veg. There is "Zero" propoints fruit and veg
The difference is just in the name - The minute you say something is "Free" people assume they can eat as much of these foods as they like. There is still a sugar/calorie content in fruit, which means if you eat lots of it it will eventually end up with a PP value. BUT with the ProPoints plan this has been built in so you can make healthier choices. The 0 points fruit and veg is there to be eaten in moderation, some people have to begin with gorged on The 0 point fruit and veg and have ended up feeling ill or have had a Stalled weight loss or a gain from eating too much.

    I hope this has helped

Well I went out for dinner tonight with Mr Fresian to Pizza Express, and last night was out at a local restaurant with my best friend.

My current PP allowance is 32 per day, and today I spent 34 (even with two courses at Pizza Express) and yesterday was 54  I still have 25 weekly points left, but am going to be aiming to stick to my dailies now until my next WI. I'm really chuffed that I only used 34 today, especially as I caved and chose doughballs with garlic butter, om nom nom!!

My first weigh in this morning... lost 2lbs! I had 7 weekly points left over.

I'm not sure if the scales I have are reliable, so on Friday I weighed myself on the doctors scales (where I work) and will also record that weight somewhere just for comparison.

Just had my second weigh in this morning - at my 10 days point (joined mid week). Lost 2 lbs this week, so 4 in 10 days. Going to buy new scales though that are easier to read in the morning post wake up pre getting the specs on lol

Thank you, that's what I was expecting. So is there an idea of how much is 'moderation' before it starts to have the adverse effect of stalling loss? I don't eat that much of it tbh, but my mum who joined same time as me eats a LOT and she doesn't 'get it' that it's not FREE.

I really can't wait to live alone again, so much temptation at my parents this summer. Pizza etc last night (which I avoided), chinese tonight (which I'm not avoiding but just taking all my weeklies off myself even though it probably won't amount to 20 dailies and 49 weeklies...).

Short of hiding in my room with my rubbish dinners while they eat their nice stuff, does anyone have any advice? :(

Do they know you're doing WW? Can you offer to cook a couple of times a week to show them the kind of thing you're eating and that it can be tasty - and tastier than a takeaway?

Mr F isn't on WW, so I make his main course something relatively healthy (such as fishcakes) and where he will have beans/tatties/chips, I'll have fresh veg instead. Would something like that work?
