Finding it a struggle this week. Lunch out on Thursday, birthday chocolates, Meal out and cocktails last night, and family lunch out today! I've tried to choose better options but even so, I don't think I'll be losing anything this week. Used all my 49 up already so planning on melon for starters, then chicken for main course today. It'll be a struggle to resist chips though! Plus my mum will have made me a birthday cake, so I can't not have a piece! Have to do some exercise today and tomorrow to at least make up a few activity points!:rotfl:

Wow, Determinedms, what a brilliant list :D I'll be printing that off at some point I think. My favourite treat at the moment is a Fab lolly at a measly 2PP. They have 100% extra free packs in Morrisons at the moment as well, meaning you get 16 for £2.19 or around 11.5p each :money:

I'm heading away for a couple of days which means I can't prepare my own food :( We're going to be eating out every night for the next three days. My plan is this:

    • Taking pointed snacks with me so I have things to nibble when I'm out and about
    • Popping into M&S/Tesco and getting 0PP fruit for breakfast so I can have a tasty lunch/dinner
    • Walking everywhere, earning activity points and taking my pedometer with me
Has anyone got any other suggestions? We've got a voucher for Pizza Express and one for Bella Italia so we'll be eating there. I know the Leghera pizzas are about 15PP which is fine, does anyone have any suggestions from the new Bella Italia menu? A lot of the dishes in the Eating Out guide aren't on their menu anymore...

fresian - you can look up the places online before you go, most of them have lists of nutritional values for their food.

I try to eat things that are as plain as possible when I'm out for tea - I had fajitas as I was confident I'd be able to guess the weight of chicken I had, add a bit on for oil the peppers had been roast in, and of course I can count how many tortillas I had. I don't eat guacamole or sour cream so was safe enough there.
I deliberately avoided anything that came with sauce or chips - because I know I'd wolf the chips and I really don't know what's gone into the sauces.

I'd say have something for breakfast and keep the fruit for lunchtime, you'll need some fuel in your belly if you've had a few drinks the night before.

Plan what you're going to drink aswell. Pick something that will last so you can miss out rounds, or if you don't want to miss out on rounds go for something less alcoholic or point free. so maybe vodka diet coke one time then a diet tango the next round.
Make sure you walk round the whole festival too, get a few activity points from walking about.:D

My mother in law has given me here weight watchers propoints pack because I cant afford to actually join.
The calculator that came with the pack tells me i can have an allowance of 46 propoints each day, but when i looked online and used a propoints allowance calculator it gave me an allowance of 35.
Theres a big difference and i dont know which is correct, can any1 help me ?
the one I used online was -
The basic baseline points are two for women, eight for men and 12 for nursing women.
Determine current weight points. Take the first two numbers of the current weight and add these.
Anyone below 5 feet has zero points. Anyone that is 5 foot 1 inch to 5 foot 9 inches adds one point and anyone taller than 5 foot 10 inches adds in two points.
For ages between 17 and 26, add four points. Ages 27 to 37 is three points. Ages 38 to 47 is two points. Ages 48 to 57 is one point and any age that is 58 or older is zero points.

    being 2 + 28 + 1 + 4 = 35

    TIA x

I've been doing the plan for a really short time - just two weeks so far - but I've not been hungry since starting and that's something I was worried about. As a matter of fact, having just scoffed a WW sticky toffee pudding I'm quite full at the moment :o

I'm not going away on holiday now as Mr Fresian is ill :( We're going to holiday at home instead....

    hey alfiecat
the new propoints system has loads of zero points foods so as long as you like your fruit and veg you can use it to fill you up (in reasonable portions)

WW pro points is the only diet plan that actually worked for me since having LO 2 years ago. Was on diet pills and all too. Fell off the wagon of course but will definately start the WW again soon and hopefully stick to it and loose all the weight!
