Ok, so you've booked the venue and paid 600 quid, surely with the event being so far off, the figures you have given them are only estimates so you should be able to reduce them, perhaps not invite as many people (I guess you've probably sent out the invites already though?), maybe go for a cheaper meal/drinks package etc etc, it will all help to reduce the cost.

    We've signed the contract
    80 people @ £46.50
    plus 100 people @ £8.95

Plus I do feel he should get us out of this, i'll do what I can to help but if we reduce the cost (not that we can much) it's like a get out clause for him and will have taught him nothing. Anyway, I love that place.

Thanks everyone. I am so depressed about everything tody. I woke up about 6 times in the night worrying about money. I think it's only just sunk in. We've no safety net at all. It was the first time i'd ever had anything saved and I really though was getting somewhere. Bloody miserable. Having a poor me moment sorry. Might be selling some DVDs to my friends sister tho so that's good.

It'll get better. You have a plan, and you're going to stick with it. The fears and doubts do creep in during the dark hours when you're weak, and especially during the dry part of the month - between paydays - when all you see is money going out and nothing coming in.

Just stick with it, keep an eye on it, and don't be afraid to change it if it isn't working, and everything will happen for you.
