Begs the question JJTTF, whatever did you see in him?

Please feel free to use, in your reply, the words 'pot', 'kettle' and 'black'. ;)

I was 16, straight from a hovel where it was normal to stamp on my bare feet in heavy shoes and punch me repeatedly in the back of the head for ducking a slap in the face. He was older and I didn't realise that abuse could be sneaky and subtle as well.

    !!!!!! did I know?

    point taken

(as has put up with no end of carp - just looks different when you're looking AT it, rather than out from it, IYSWIM)

maybe DD is realising the 'green' grass isn't QUITE as green as she thought. Hope so.

  • NOT meant as being snappy, Valli! Reading that back, it could have been taken as that - but it wasn't meant that way!

Yes, it did occur to me as well...but no, not after anything as far as I could see. And I did sneakily check her waistline, just in case she had a big surprise for me in under 9 months!

Hoping she will become a more regular visitor. Spent the time making fuss of the cat, who was delighted to see her, and chatting about college projects.

She mentioned that KH1 won't allow her a doorkey and will double lock the front door tonight to ensure that she doesn't leave the house for the weekend. That, I do believe, because he used to do that to me when DD was a baby - if he left the flat, I would be locked in with DD until he returned. Until she sees that as wrong, there's no point in wading in, though.

Perhaps the novelty of living with him is wearing off. Oh well, it's her lesson to learn. If she leaves there, she will have to get her own place.

Or maybe she is laying down the groundwork for 'mum can I come back?'

Tell her to sneak herself a hammer to her room.. and SHOULD the need arise she can whallop double glazed units in one corner to shatter them.. it'll bounce off the middle and she might injure herself!

Glad the cat missed her too lol They are such fickle critters! I've just had 4 being VERY interested in a pair of DS1's undies.. I did ask him if they smelled of fish.. heehee..

And when DS1's gf was pg with Jacob she didn't get any sign of a bump until she was about 7 months gone.. so don't rule that out just yet :p

Hello to All. Hugs and spoons for everyone who needs them. All your stories touch me deeply.

I am a bit behind with the lists but I hope to catch up a little today. I seem to have had a thorough clean of the children's room again, appartently it needs gutting every 3 months. New toys boxes are installed, I still need some more. I will go through the clothes this weekend and get the stored stuff out of the loft as soon as we have a run of nice weather for drying.

So weekend, sort clothes, scrub paintwork in the hallway, ironing, make biscuits, cook ham, shopping. And the dailies of course! I may push the big clean of master bedroom into next week.
