  • Hi Skint, yes i am still pretty low, i am trying to shake it off but having to watch the pennies all of the time is getting to me. I am bored by it & would like to be able to go shopping and have a nice lunch with friends without always wondering if i can afford it.

It is all my own fault though and a long time coming, i have been burying my head in the sand for years & years, getting into debt that i could not manage. As bored as i may be by it all, as fed up as i feel i will not get into debt again. I need to stop feeling so glum & get on with clearing it.

  • It's hard to pick out the positives at times. Especially on these dark nights. You teach a point where it Looka hopeless, we just got to keep on the road together I suppose Xx

  • Have not posted for a while as not alot to say :( Still bored of having no money & still clearing the debts at a snail pace.

It half term this week and i have no money to take the DC out :(:( We are walking the dog and visiting the park as it is free. Went to my auntys for lunch yesterday.

Baked spuds, sausages and fried onions for tea, cheap & autumnal (is that how its spelt ??!!)

  • Its good enough. Just keep plugging away, I dont even feel like I am making progress at the moment, so many things have broken. I am attacking ebay, just to get some extra money to throw at it.

Cheap days out are the best ones. Enjoy x

  • Still trying to keep focused and clear my debts but have really lost my way the past couple of months.

I am doing well at paying my aunty the repayments, i am determined to repay all that i owe but everything else is proving to be more difficult. I have a £200 OD which i cannot clear, although a few months ago the OD was £2000, i used a 0% CC to clear it but am only repaying the CCs with the minimum re payments.

More than anything i am trying to shift the black cloud i have looming over me, i get down too easily & bored beyond belief of never having spare cash. I hate being so miserable but am finding it hard to snap out of.

  • A LSD yesterday, few essentials so we could eat. Nice roast dinner cooking today and i have spent the morning catching up on E mails and doing the housework.

Need to sort out my wardrobe, pack away the summer clothes, it is so untidy :(

  • Eeeek!! I forgot about a cheque i sent to DS school for a trip, it was cashed and sent me £11 over my OD, that means a £25 bank charge :(. I am now resorting to using cash, i cannot be trusted with my debit card.

Have done all my housework, my home looks nice :) at least until the DC come home from school !

LSD, had on line shopping delivered so no chance of picking up anything i did not really need. Stir fry for tea, then a bubbly pamper bath for me.

  • I really should be thinking about starting the Christmas shopping, not easy when i have not a clue what to buy and money is so tight. I am going to try and put £2 a day away in my jar, surely even i can find £2 each day, if i do then next Christmas i will have £730 for Christmas !!!

I spend £2 a day on cr*p most days, a latte , silly magazine, sweets for the DC so it surely cannot be difficult, even for me. I have never saved a bean but the thought of £730 is soooo inspirational- anyone else care to save with me ? :)
