This is what the OP said which is fair enough as you will get more help on the TalkTalk forums.
Sometimes they need personal info to look into your account and this can only be done using their own secure message system.
I`ve used their forum in the past and have always got any minor issue sorted and have also found their reps very helpful.0 -

Yes the Talk Talk rep also said in a subsequent post .

The reason why I decided not to touch TalkTalk with a very large barge pole was because of all of the complaints on this forum and because of the problems a friend had with TalkTalk. If the number of complaints decrease over time, then I'll consider switching; however not just yet...
I've deleted my earlier post because you've now corrected the error in your opening post.

You`ve taken his phrase out of context as the above quote explains,
when he was replying specifically to epsilondraconis.
Read posts 2 and 3.
Real help is to be found at the members forum for reasons I`ve already explained.0 -

Certainly a bit of a fan of theirs;)He who is not really annoying will hardly feel the pressure of age, but to him who is of an opposite disposition youth and age are equally a burden. Plato.0 -

No I don`t, but as tod123,plod123and poppytod, (just 3 of his aliases) says, I am a big fan of theirs and I`ll tell you why.
For a mere £15-79 a month I get line rental included, BB download speed at 13 meg, free local calls anytime, free 01/02/03 numbers after 7pm and all weekend and the same for 0870/0845.
Free router included.
This cannot be beaten by anyone anywhere.

I'm an ex Talk Talk customer, left them in February 2010.
To cut a long story short, they messed up big time and I ended up having to take it to Oftel Obudsman.
Months later, managed to get the case resolved, an aplogy and a refund from Talk Talk. That was February 2011.
Got in from work at lunchtime today and what do I find, Talk Talk have started billing me again! Telephone line rental for March 11 to April 11, non direct debit fee, paper bill fee.
Now, do I waste more good time trying to get in touch with Obudsman again, do I phone Talk Talk and get fobbed off or do I just ignore bill and hope it goes away, or wait for another one next month, possibly damaging my credit rating.
Can't explain how angry I am. What a shambolic, incompetent, ignorant company.
SHAME ON YOU!!!! :mad:0 -
I have been a loyal customer to AOL and talk talk for many years now and in June 2007 I went to talk talk for calls and free broadband with the understanding Talk Talk were part of AOL, and therefore the dial up contract would be cancelled.
I have continued to pay AOL monthly for AOL broadband and recall when I queried this with AOL I was told I had to still pay them or I would lose my email account.
It transpires I have been paying for the dial up even though this has not been used since June 2007.
Today AOL billings offered me six months compensation, when I talked with the cancellation team they would only offer me credit for the last 2 months payments.
Talk Talk have confirmed I have had broadband since 5 June 2007, and it is illegal for two providers to charge for the same service.0 -
I have sent a final letter to the complaints bod in CEOs office. Fix my broadband or face the ombudsman. after 2 years of unanswered emails, promised engineer visits that never materialise and even a complaint letter from me that was responded to in a couple of sentences telling me to ring the 0870 number, i have lost patience. I want compensation!! The service is a disgrace and I can't wait to leave TT when this is sorted out. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.
Yes, I thought the Obudsman was great, they certainly sorted things for me. Until today, when Talk Talk decided to start billing me again!!! I left them 12 months ago and have been with another company since then!0
