Undies/socks/nightwear daily. Sometimes twice a day if I'm going somewhere in the evening.
School run stuff can be worn for two days, unless my kids have spilled something on me. I am not a sweaty person, and bathe daily, sometimes twice a day, so my clothes don't get very dirty.0 -
I'll wear things at least twice before washing them unless they get stained etc then they go in at the first opputunity. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

knickers - clean on every day without fail.
socks - depends on what I've been doing. Walking around lots, they last one day. I have a few pairs of thick house socks for lounging around the house in, they usually last a few days before needing washing.
bras - last a few days unless I've been exercising or out dancing of an evening, then they're straight in the wash.
tops that touch your skin - sniff test. sometimes I can wear them a couple of times, sometimes they're straight in the wash after one wear (depends on the material they're made of and what I've been doing)
tops that go over other tops - only wash when they get dirty (e.g. food spilt on them) or go out of shape.
leggings / tights - usually wash after one wear
trousers / skirts - only wash when they get dirty (e.g. food spilt on them) or go out of shape.
I reckon my clothes last longer if i wash them less often...0 -
Yes I wear clothes more than once and can't understand why you wouldn't unless of course dirty! I have enough to wash without giving myself extra work.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

shower everyday and change underwear daily. However i think its far to excessive and unecessary to wash clothes after every wash. I dont think they even need it. Those who feel the need to wash everything after every wash have far too much time on their hands and far too much money to keep wasting it on powder and electricity.:D:p:footie:0

nope.
i always change underwear daily, sometimes twice daily. i may wear my jeans 2 or 3 days in a row, but they will be washed every evening. children have fresh pj's and underwear each evening and if hubby weres chilling clothes in the evening after work, i wash them in the mornign ready for next evening if he wants to wear them0 -
The only things that get washed after one wear unless they are stained or the one wear has been excessively long is underwear/socks/tights and gym stuff. Tops and stuff workwear after 2 wears and others 2/3. Cardies, coats, trousers etc. can go for absolutely ages without being washed.
I can't believe the amount of washing most of you have to do! New PJs every night? I find that very strange!0 -
House clothes a few days, fresh if having visitors.
Jeans a few days normal wear.
Shirt if put on for a evening out after a shower then they used to have to going the wash but the smoking ban means they can be worn again or the following day as day wear unless food/beer over them.
day work wear usualy once but now not working might put something on to nip out for a couple of hours and is stays in the use again pile.
I usualy change when I get home to house clothes(keep the good stuff for going out)
I found an over door hook handy to hang up the stuff you want to use again gets it off the floor chairs/bed and you don't stock pile 1/2 used stuff

All underwear is one day only, but everything else is either when it's dirty or smells. I tend to wander around in a long baggy t-shirt at home as tighter clothes are quite uncomfortable (bad back and stomach problems) so a pair of jeans can easily last a week if I'm only wearing them a couple of hours a day while I'm out. Tops are normally 2 or 3 days depending on how long I've been wearing them for.
Stuff that goes over other things, like wraps and hoodies are only washed when they are dirty (something spilled on them) or they smell (normally only happens if they get wet in the rain and don't dry fast enough).
Since I live alone this means I only really need to do a wash every other week, as I have enough clothes to last me that long (never throw anything away unless it's got holes in - and only once they've been patched up and used a bit more!).0
