Do you wear your clothes more than once before wash?

Options
What i mean is how many times do you wear something before you wash it? Might sound disgusting to some but i dont like wearing a top just once and then washing it! I wear tops and trousers twice before putting it in the wash.

Another question, i end up having a pile of clothes on a chair at the end of the week that i have only worn once, and it looks so untidy. what can i get to help make it look more neat. :) x

Depends on what I am wearing, where I am going etc.

EG; the school run I am happy to wear yesterday (and perhaps the day befores) Jeans. However at one of the kids clubs I fancy one of the leaders so ensure I am showered and in clean clothes before the meeting!

It really depends on how long it's been worn. If I am wearing a top all day at work, it will go into the wash before being worn again. If I've just worn something for an hour or two, I will hang it up to be worn again.

Nah, not really. I tend to change clothes at least once a day as it is.
  • It depends what you wear, I change underwear every day. And the job you do of course, if its in an office change every day. For manual labour you can wear Jeans for up to a week if you have not been rolling around under cars etc.

Get a laundry basket to keep your clothes tidy.

I wear most clothes 2 days then wash them. Not always 2 consecutive days though.
To avoid the pile of clothes that have been worn once, I hang mine back up in my wardrobe but turn them 'inside out' . Then when I look for something to wear I can easily see which clothes I have worn, (which will be inside out) and therefore can wear once more before going in the wash.

Saves on re ironing worn clothes!

  • Socks and underwear get changed every day without fail. I know plenty of people who wear socks for more than one day and this repulses me, possibly more than it should.

Tops go into the wash after one wear, jeans go into the wash when they are grubby or have become baggy (I wear skinny jeans and they look rubbish if they are baggy round the knees) - same with skirts and leggings. Jumpers and hoodies etc I'll wear until they are dirty.

I am a SAHM so I tend to do a wash every day, even if it's just a quick refresher wash. Small children tend to generate a lot of laundry.

As for the pile of clothes, either sling them in a laundry basket or fold them up and put them away if you want to wear them again.

Socks/tights and underwear are definitely clean every day! Tops that are next to the skin are washed after one day wear, but secondary tops, ie cardigans, jumpers can be worn a couple of times. Trousers and skirts can maybe worn 3 times before they are washed - unless they are grubby.

    Obviously I'm a skanky mare.

I wash things when they smell and/or look dirty, not before! I could probably wear a pair of jeans for a whole week before they need a wash!

(obviously knickers and socks get changed daily, but everything else as above)
