Rups two things that help keep me sane during the first trimester were not counting the day, instead I would just remember the day a new week would start, so once a week I'd think right I'm 6 weeks now, 7 weeks etc. it seemed to make the time go quicker than counting each day. I still do it now and only know the day if I have to work it out.
The other thing I did was I kept telling myself over and over that there was nothing I could do to change the outcome and worrying wouldn't stop anything going wrong so I might as well enjoy it. It worked most of the time although of course there were times it didn't but it did make it a lot easier for me.

The weird dreams are part and parcel of pregnancy I'm afraid, I still get them now some of them are really horrible but there's not much you can do about them. Just get a cuddle fom your OH afterwards :)

    xx

((hugs)). DH and I have been bickering a bit the last couple of days but it's mostly because he's not used to me being so hormonal. I've turned into a right ratty cow ;)
Have you thought of getting him a pregnancy for dads book? It might help him understand what you are going through and help him feel more involved.

I totally understand the feelings certain milestones will give you, but once you pass them it should help you to feel a bit more relaxed.

he says i read too much stuff and get wound up, so he has banned me this time from reading stuff online or books etc. he even said that half a glass of wine should be ok but i said no. i think he is trying the being 'very pragmatic' view. i am less emotional than i was last time. i might try and get him that. The thing is he is so fiery, he just snaps at anything but it drives me mad esp this morning when he went on and on! lol

got that ibs pain again.. grrr

    hi Rups,
I don't dye my hair, but I think that the risk with dyes in pregnancy is not to the baby (as the dye won't be absorbed through your skin in large amounts), but that your skin might have become more sensitive so you could have a reaction to something you're normally ok with. So do a patch test and leave for 48 hours to see how your skin reacts?

My babybook and all the advice I can find suggests that dyeing hair is fine in pregnancy. I've been dyeing my eyebrows so if you want to wait until the end of June I'll let you know if my baby comes out with two heads :D

    Slapped cheek syndrome

Sorry to not properly read back & comment this time ladies just had a bit of a scare!? My brother called to tell me that his GF's little girl has Slapped Cheek syndrome!? I was round their house Saturday evening so had quite close contact with her (even shared her straw at one point!) I have called my GP but had to leave a message with Receptionist & call back later. My brother doesn't know I'm pregnant yet; he said he was just telling me "in case" I had to sort anything out which made it weird too as I didn't want to tell him over the phone but appears he has guessed!?
Weirdly I have had itchy feet today & had a temperature but not sure if they're linked?
