Morning ladies
Congratulations on the scan Littlemoog & haras nosirrah :j:j
Kavics - sorry to hear about your OHHope he is getting the treatment he needs. Seems so unfair sometimes when things like that happen. Hope you have some support around you, as you must be missing him lots. We are always here tho if you want a chat or a moan about anything. Its always a bit scary telling your boss big things like pregnancy, but it does make things a lot easier once they know as they are a lot more helpful and supportive. Its just that 'bringing it up' conversation which I always struggle with. I went with "I have some news... I'm pregnant"
Cleofish - Its only natural that you will be worried about things. You had an early scan didn't you and saw a heartbeat? Just try to remember that and not worry too much. I know its easier said than done tho. A lot of people don't get any particular symptoms tho, so try not to worry about that.
Emylou - Hope you managed to get in touch with the midwife and they have offered you some reassurance. I'm another one who doesn't know much about the illness I'm afraid.
AFM - Uffff, I'm ill again with the sickness. I had 3 days off fri-sunday, and thought I was over it. And then monday I was sick, yesterday I was sick 3 times and only managed half a jacket potato the entire day, and this morning I have been sick twice already and know I need to go again. Have phoned in sick today. I went to bed before 8 last night, but I feel so worn out and have such a lack of energy. Fed up of being sick now and not being able to eat or drink. There isn't even anything I fancy or think I can face. Had a glass of water this morning but it came straight back up again a few mins later
Only 1 week til the scan now. Really hoping things ease off around then, altho I know it can take longer. We have a weekend away in our motorhome at the seaside this weekend to look forward to - so that'll be nice to just relax and not do much.Married my lobster in July 2011

morning all.
i think today is a weird day for some.. cleofish please try and not worry. I know exactly how you feel as that was i thought last time, but Just as mentioned that think of the heart beat, that should give u an uplift.
i went to the gp this morning and i neary started crying just explaining about my issue of the last MC. he was so sweet and has asked me to go for an early scan this friday so now iam nervous again!! i told him i was very worried as i want everything to go well and he said it wouldnt be normal if i wasnt worried, but was still told to take it easy and calm down with exercise, and no stress, no heavy lifting etc etc. so have asked DH to come with me this Friday and he hasnt responded yet. humph..i know hes at work but being at home today is not helping as i am just worrying. i shuoldnt i know. he said to get that right hand side discomfort checked out on friday too. fingers crossed all goes well. *nervous*.
he also wrote me some antibiotics as have had this weird cough for 2 weeks and i have to get those tomorrow or somehting.
now i have to try and stay calm till friday.. sighBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Hello all! Slightly queasy feeling has stuck with me for the last few days, but thankfully not been sick and am eating fairly normally :j
I think I'm starting to show a bit now - as most of the other symptoms have vanished (aside from slightly queasy) - I was getting a bit worried. Still won't be happy till after my scan (still no mention of a scan! book in appointment next week Weds at 10w3d...)
Well, I am still completely off of coffee/tea and some other usual foods, so perhaps the symptoms are still around! And the burping is still with me... :rotfl:0 -

I have a scan on friday too, although mine is my 20 week scan where we will find out how bad / if any the defects are,

It is on the day that I am exactly 12 weeks. No other appt before then. Just double checked the letter in case I missed something. Also been given a form to fill out about health history and if anyone in the family has diabetes, multiples etc. Assume I just take it along to this appointment??0

From what I can tell, I'm not seeing anyone until 12 weeks. I've said lots of times on here before, I'd be lost without this thread, feel really alone and unsure of so many things without it. I was expecting slightly more in the way of support given that it is the first baba!
can you look online at your local health authority and see if there is a 'guidelines' for pregnancy,
it can differ greatly, i personally saw a midwife at my local doctors surgery for booking in at 8 weeks but some areas have you seen for everything at the hospitalBow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
morning ladies..
hope you are ok. this weather is so miserable it is making me feel miserable too
thanks for your message mishka. i will think of you too.mine is a walk-in appointment from 9-11, so i hope to drag DH with me early and then hope to get seen. i hate those waits and also the vaginal scans. been having that discomfort on the side and getting a bit worried..
also i feel so nauseous and as i have antibiotics to get today, i was wondering if it was also a combination of my cough (cold) that is adding to my sicky feeling?
I welcome all these yucky symptoms as long as my little one is safe.i cant wait for tomorrow now..

I should imagine it's just morning sickness, rups! Which, whilst horrible, at least lets you know that your hormone levels are likely to be good"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
thanks fluffnutter. i kind of feel feverish but am not sure as the office is cold.
i am assuming all sorts of things now. you can all slap me if you want please, as i am becoming a hypercondriac!
i hope these symptoms are ok as last time i still had them for weeks, even after everything had finished within. :-( its at that same mark, hence my anxiety.
so feeling a bit cold and feverish is making me ask if everything is ok? grrr
thank you all for putting up with me and the silly repetitive questions. xxBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

You're feverish because you have a virus. Hopefully this will clear up soon - I had a cold a few weeks ago and the associated temperature made me feel awful - much worse than I'd usually feel. Pregnancy means you're simply not very resilient.
However, if you don't usually feel sick with a cold (and most adults don't) then I suspect you're starting to get MS. Time will tell - if you're still nauseous or vomiting once your cold is gone, then you know what it is!
You're not alone - I spent the first few weeks thinking 'Why am I feeling this? What does that mean? What's causing these symptoms?'. After a while I calmed down and it dawned on me... it's called 'being pregnant' and it all clears up in about 8 or 9 months"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
