    Hi ladies,

Abi glad you're feeling a bit better today!
LittleMoog you must be getting very excited?! I can't wait for my 12 week scan (am only 9+1 at the moment!)

AFM I have been a bit queasy again today & received a letter today from Chelsea & Westminster hospital where I have 2 appointments booked so far to see their specialist team of midwives due to my genetic heart condition. I've now got 2 appointments (at 2 different hospitals) in the same week- my Head teacher is going to love me!! :\

I forgot to ask yesterday regarding my booking in appointment- the Midwife said that they no longer give out The Pregnancy Book (NHS publications) at the appt as people were taking more than one. She told me to go on the NHS website & order it, but I've not been able to find it?! Does anyone have a copy & can let me know the barcode please? Many thanks.

Feel up to eating tonight so off to Harvester where I think I'll have a mixed grill nom nom nom.

Have a good evening everyone! :)
Married my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhear
I want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......
    Must STOP spending!!! :)

    Afternoon ladies :)

Feeling much better today, managed to have breakfast and lunch so far with no sickness, here's hoping I've turned a corner :) I've even made a lasagne for dinner tonight, feels like the first time I've cooked anything proper for weeks! May even tackle some housework in a bit.

I'm off to a wedding fair tomorrow with my best friend who's asked me to be her matron of honour next April :D so hoping I don't feel too grim.

We've just booked tickets to go to the baby show at the NEC in Birmingham in a few weeks time, really looking forward to it, although DH's credit card isn't ;)

emylou, I didn't get a book from my midwife, wasn't even mentioned. I did read my sister's copy when I was babysitting a while ago though, was pretty basic and I think the books I've bought cover the same things in more detail tbh.

Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend.:)

moneypenny, if you're struggling with reflux I'd recommend asking your GP for treatment - I've been on ranitidine since about 6 weeks as I developed awful reflux and couldn't sleep for coughing. No symptoms since about 2 days after I started them, it's completely gone. :)

I'm also having a good day, no sickness :j Smaller meals of bits and pieces seems to be the answer for me as well, if I eat a large meal it seems to sit in my tummy for ages and make me feel grotty.

Would be a better day if my car didn't cost £600 to service/MOT though :( We're hoping to replace it with something more family friendly in september/october (it's a 3 door focus so no good for carseats, and our other car is a 5 door polo, with quite a small boot!) so it's really annoying to have to spend so much money on it. I don't do many miles as I carshare with 2 friends, so I was hoping it wouldn't need much doing, but one of the suspension springs was cracked, which was a £350 job. :(

i thought i would pop onto the early preg thread to see what is going on. really nice to see rups here, not sure if you remember me from a couple of months ago, i see you are pregnant, which is great to hear:)

early pregnancy wasnt fun for me with feeling sick but i never threw up, thank god, sickness completely disappeared about week 15/16. now about to enter third trimester.
i remember waiting for 1st scan seemed like forever but hang in there people, second trimester seemed to go a lot quicker.

wishing everyone a happy and healthy pregnancy or one you can just cope with hehe;)

    hi everyone,

wow the thread is moving quickly lately which is good, can we make our 12 weeks move as quickly.:T

havent been on for the last couple of days, the sickness has returned here and have actually been sick a couple of times this week, only in the morning so far but my tummy has been empty so my ribs have been hurting from wretching too much.

Really feel for the ladies who have had it really bad, cant imagine doing that every day, trying to sort my morning routine to include something even if it is toast before moving too much (which seems to set it off).
Problem is i take tablets(for epilepsy) that i normally take my first lot in the morning and being sick a couple of times in the morning this week has meant im not sure if i am having the correct dose or all of my tablet, so im trying to move my tablets times for dinner time or afternoon instead.

just reading back through the thread-

needhelpsaving- if you have any more blood or cramps i would check with your gp and your local Early pregnancy unit just to check to be safe. Nothing wrong with just checking.

emsbet- congrats on team blue, sounds like he was a handful for the sonographer, hopefully you will be able to get everything done at the second scan and another cheeky look.:T

moneypenny- how are the avocados coming on? are they surviving? ive had it before in things but never on its own, i might sound silly here but do you just cut it in half and eat it raw? minus the skin and stone?

abis21- glad to hear you managed to get some fluid down you, hoping you are still feeling ok and are not too addicted to ice lollies.
your fish dream was wacky as well, glad someone else has had some. I had another one the other night i stroked a ginger tom cat and when i got to its tail it came off and i just remember thinking wow that would make a really good luck charm, like a rabbits foot- weird!

saw all the talk about food and what we can and cant eat according to docs, im not really being too strict, trying to be careful with meat, im not a fan of rare anyway, ive been eating tuna and have tried not to have more than 2 meals a week of that and alcohol im not drinking any, i figure its only for a while and there isnt anything really that is in alcohol that is good for you so i have cut that out completely, but besides those im not going to be following the docs advice to the letter, trying to be a bit more relaxed.

littlemoog- glad to hear you have had a bit of a break with the sickness and managed to make tea and some housework, not fair though lol
currently too tired in the evenings and oh has been making tea, think i will have to start making it in the mornings or perhaps at the weekend when there is more time.

jediquigley- thanks for popping back in to let us know, congrats on your third trimester, its good to hear the sickness might subside
    :T

if it looks a bit weird im not too sure if my smileys are working im on google chrome at the moment.

    Thanks Bikelesschick! :)

Can i ask the ladies who've had scans before, what's the best thing to wear? DH asked last night what I needed to wear and i hadn't considered it!
