  • Hi, back again! Can't survive without you lot!
Had the tinsyist bit of brown on Thurs, nothing since, then a stronger brown wipe 2nite. Really freaking out. Think I've got tummy cramps, but might be imagining it, could be trapped wind.
How do I know if hospital has EPU? Can I just turn up at A&E and explain whats going on? Won't go tonight (Sat night=A&E hell!) just tomorrow morning as quieter.
Can't tell OH, if I worry him now, then everythings OK he will have already closed off emotionally as he doesn't deal with grief/bad things well. He prob wouldn't show intrerest again till 20weeks scan onwards when easier to think everythings OK.

Why do we put ourselves through pregnancies?? They are emotionally draining!!!

Hi, just lurking. Have you only had brown? And how many weeks are you? Tummy pains could be stretchy pains and they are normal. Brown is generally considered ok. If you get any red and severe pains I'd just go up A and E tomorrow. But def go to doc monday and they should be able to sort EPU for you. I had brown spotting from 7 weeks and had early scan, thankfully all ok and no reason. I spotted at least once a week until week 15. x

deep breath... chill.. be calm... are we sensible now?? :p

    panicking doesn't help!

Brown is very little to worry about. The pain is probably just normal stretchy/crampy type stuff.. m/c pain is not like period cramps.

Bleeding at 4 (low HcG and body trying to have period but being prevened), 6 (getting snuggled implantation bleed and placenta starts working), 10 and 12-14 weeks (these are all often just the placenta stepping up a notch and starting to take over sustaining the pregnancy) is usual and very very common.

There will be no EPU open on Sunday .. so.. you ring your GP out of hours number and they will make you an appointment at EPU. They are likely to not scan you at A&E because they won't have the staff on. so unless you start bleeding really heavily it would be a waste of your time going.

What you can say to OH is you've had some brown discharge which is probably from you havng sex last week :p or the baby getting snuggled down but just to be on the safe side and reassure yourselves all is well you are speaking to the GP and hopefully he'll let you have a scan next week... Don't let him think it is worth worrying about because there is nothing either of you can do.. tell him you are doing nothing for the rest of the weekend so it all calms down and all proceeds well.

I have ordered Squeak a 'Big Sister' top from Next in age 12-18 months so it will be a bit big but she'll grow and beable to wear it once sprog arrives assuming all goes ok.

I am nipping to docs to collect a prescription for DD3 this week so I'll ask about a scan while I'm there and see if I can get a pic before we go to OH's mums next Friday.. if they say no I'll ring about a private one.. I just want to hand her a pic and say there you go.. grandsprog number 2!!! and I don't want his sister telling her.. it is not her news to tell. I am also absolutely desperate to know how far on I am.. I am sure it is about 8 weeks but a 'date' to work towards would be nice and of course knowing all is as it should be is a given, I've usually had 2 scans by now so I'm doing well.

OHs sister seems to be taking it upon herself to be teliing people on our behalf. I work in a shop and someone I know came in yesterday, first thing she said to me was "congratulations", I looked at her blankly and she told me that OHs sister had told her I was pregnant.

I'm really annoyed with her as it is only supposed to be close family knowing at the minute until we have had the scan, so I will be having words with her today!

I think she said she was going to her mums after the scan and may not be able to post, so hopefully everything went ok!

  • I'm sorry to have gone nuts on here last night! I've calmed down (a bit) this morning.
I think it's worse having the internet for this pregnancy, I was in blissful ignorance last time, this time I can search & see horror stories!
I told my midwife on Fri about Thurs little bit of brown, and she said "ohhh, well it's never good to have bleeding in pregnancy is it, hopefully just old blood" which I don't think was that reassuring!!

DS1 was an accident, and it felt like God or whoever is in charge was giving me a child for a reason, it had been decided for me, so if it didn't happen that was also their choice. This time I have chosen to get pregnant & I have planned out the ov days etc, and its making me think I'm going against the natural way things work!!! I am proper bonkers - FACT!!!

I think being on this forum has also highlighted how common MCs are.

I'll try 2 stay bright today, got work in a bit, so should be a distraction!

PigPen, can't wait for the full story of how ur OH finds out!!!

Thanks everyone for your sane words!!!

I want to know how far I am *stomp stomp strop strop and stamp feet*

Interfereing cow told his mother about the baby.. I was livid! How would she have liked it... cheeky bint! .. ok, so I am still cross about it. I guess that is another reason I've not told OH, he can't tell her and she can't tell his mother.

If my periods are 25 days, and my last period was 6th Feb....am I 4+3 atm?

I'm normally really good at all this baby-stuff but having 25 days cycles has really thrown me.

Did another test yesterday too, just to make sure. No idea why - atleast it was the last one in the house :rotfl:!

I can't seem to stop telling people (only close family mind). Maybe its because Im hoping nature will be a little kinder to me this time and I wont m/c. Il be Mrs RedwoodBrook by the time this tiddler is born. eeee!

I've done about a squillion in the hopes they are wrong...

RWB.. I get due date 10th November so you'd be about 4 +3 weeks now.. but the doc will probably estimate a due date of 13th November so 4 weeks dead on... but either way.. a few days won't make much difference.
