Ach... who switched the sickiness back on?? I am starving and nothing is filling me.. and I am eating copious amounts of food.. I'm going to pop... and I feel incredibly sick this evening.. I wonder if it is because I skipped my afternoon nap??
Bear in mind I normally have 1 meal a day and not much else, I've had 4 slices of toast half a bag of chicken dippers (44 in bag! ) half a tin of beans 3 funsize choc bars a cup-a-soup with 2 slices of bread... and my bones are poking out!!!!!!! I don't know what I want I think I need to eat dry pasta to it expands in my stomach and makes me full! .. Carbs, protein and sugar overload..

hulagirl...I"m trying to chill out, since stress isn't good either, but yeah, it's only been two days so it's a bit overwhelming still! I have some PCO (though I'm pretty lucky overall, I think) and I'm no spring chicken (just turned 40 a few weeks ago) so there are some worry points, but one day at a time, eh? I'm a bit anxious to call the doctor to check on exercise and there are so many conflicting ideas, and some notes to see GP if you are overweight. I am, but I'm relatively fit, just sidelined for several months now after a broken ankle. Also, if you've struggled with anemia, it seems you're supposed to be careful about exercise (I'd never heard that before, but saw it several places today)
Flower, thanks for the reply. This is where I saw it suggested that 8-12 weeks is when they do the first scan: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Antenatal-screening/Pages/Why-is-it-necessary.aspx I'm not from the UK originally, so I've spent some time today just trying to find out how everything works.7 weeks is when a lot of ladies I've know had scan because you can usually spot the heartbeat by then. This is what I'm hoping for too, because I've been reading that if everything looks ok at about 8 weeks, then your chance of miscarriage is a whole lot smaller (3-5%).
The man and I were actually getting ready to start natural IVF in just about a month at a clinic in London, so I know that I can get a scan there if nowhere else. I'm pretty sure though that my acupuncturist (who is amazing!) knows someone local to Oxford who offers private scans too.
It's amazing how a bit of wee on a stick changes everything!

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Well after my scan yesterday and all being well. I was just begining to relax and now i have had some spotting trying not to freak out. It's bright red and only when i wipe after the toilet sorry if thats tmi. So i have taken myself off to bed as i am on my own today and trying not to think about it. Easier said than done.
Xx
Hulagirl, glad your scan went ok. Take it easy and hopefully the spotting will stop soon for you xMoneySavingMamma wrote: »No more brown for me after 7am wipe! Even after strain on no2 (Ha, that must be pushing towards tmi!!)
Staying positive now as driving myself mental!
Fibabe - Congratulations and welcome!!!
As for me, I'm 8 weeks tomorrow i think, had booking appointment on Friday but was quite disappointed not to get loads of advice, have so many questions but it was all pretty routine stuff, bloods and med history. Glad to be in and registered with them though. Also got my 12 week scan date there and then which was fantastic. 4 weeks tomorrow. Oh how time is going to drag. These last 4 weeks seem to have been the longest EVER!!
Not been around so much as been trying not to stress - really bad for thatlast few days have been my worst for MS, very nauseous, massive headaches and soooo tired. Dreading work tomorrow. (but then again I dreaded it before I was PG!!:rotfl:)
Hope you're all had a good weekend and that your beans are growing well x x0 -

As far as I know, in most areas the NHS offer a dating scan at 12 weeks and an anomaly scan at 20 weeks. If you've had multiple miscarriages or IVF, you can get an earlier scan. IamJen, if you can't wait it's possible to get a private scan for about £70. Congrats by the way! I am not far behind you in terms of age, I'm 38 this month xxx
Also congrats to Fibabe xx
MSM, I only told my family about my first miscarriage - my mum is quite an anxious person and she was so upset and worried so much about me that I couldn't bear to see her go through that again. She doesn't know I'm pregnant now, and I'll only tell her after I've had my scan. I know if I told her before she'd literally not sleep through worrying. I don't know if that's the right thing or not though, it's just what we decided to do after our first loss - unfortunately we'd told absolutely loads of people, having sailed through my first pregnancy I'd assumed it would be the same 2nd time roundIt is VERY difficult to keep such big news quiet though - I'm aching to tell everyone I meet!!
I actually can't believe it's Sunday night again already!! How does the weekend fly by so fast?!0 -
I am ringing about a private scan tomorrow but I think they are £85 here  a lot of places they are £50ish.. I want it this week tough so if they can't do that I am nagging the GP. I can't stand not knowin how far we are or even having a due date... and I want a pic to take to MIL's at the weekend
And I'm 38 this year too (geriatric grand multipara .. that sounds so good!)LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
