Yay snowy! Pleased it all went well for you at your scan.
Thanks for the advice on the medicine fluffnutter. If I get a day off any time soon, I'll try to book an appointment with the GP, as my heartburn which used to be just in the evenings, is becoming an all day thing (just as I was getting over the feeling sick stage too *roll eyes smiley*) and making me feel fairly miserable. I'm working at a nursery school tomorrow  (usually just teach primary supply), so will be interesting to see how I cope with that, particularly as it'll mean a longer day. The agency tried to sell it to me as being good experience for when our little one comes along.
Congratulations to those who are new to the thread on your pregnancies.
Hugs for those feeling rotten.

great news on early scan snowy
we will be buying bits and bobs throughout the 2nd trimester, we can't afford to wait right till the end as we are moving house at the end of August (i must be mad) the pushchair will be bought through mothercares baby plan so wont be getting that until later on but it will be paid for.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I have had them for both pregnancies and haven't had a problem. They have never warned of miscarriage which they would have to if it was a risk.
I have liked them because it is so much clearer than even my later scans. The pictures are clearer too.
I have found it less uncomfortable than a normal scan, but then the normal ones press so hard I am sore for the rest of the day.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

im due to see some at epu on friday and have been told internal scans are usually what they use if your under 7 weeks & was told they can cause you to miscarry
i've had internals hun, never been told they can cause miscarriage though, sometimes if your lucky they can get a clear view with a normal scan - try have a full bladder it will push your uterus up and make it easier. Internals dont hurt though and i wouldn't worry too much, sonographers know what they are doing xxYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Who told you this, lala? It seems unlikely. If you fall pregnant using IVF you will always have an early internal scan, it's standard practice. I can't believe they're do anything to increase the risk of miscarriage, particularly as IVF is so traumatic (and expensive) anyway!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Good luck today Mishka.
Lala, I had an internal scan at 16 weeks and like the others there was no mention of it causing miscarriage. Its only a long thin(ish) probe inserted into you it doesn't go beyond the cervix so is no different to having sex infact probably less invasive as its just inserted gently and then removed.0
