scottishchick try not to worry about miscarrying. I know it's hard, but just because lots of people from TTC have miscarried, it doesn't mean that you will. xEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

good luck with your scan kitten pie xx
scottish, try not to worry hun, the statistics are something like 1 in 4 women have a miscarriage, it just seems hard because being on a forum of ttc'ers and pregnant ladies the numbers seem more concentrated. i hope you will be ok.
As for me, i had some spotting early hours of this morning, it was a pinkish colour and was only a few droplets when i wiped and theres been nothing on a panty liner since but i'm still a bit worried, although it could be nothing as me and oh had sex last night and it's possibly from that but i dont know whether to ring midwife and see if they can check me over or not.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Just a quick question for those who've had their scans and who are still lurking, it says on my maternity appointment card that I have to bring a urine sample with me to every appointment. I know I'll easily be able to produce one after I've had my scan (full bladder), but should I be taking one I "made earlier"? If so, what did you take yours in?
At my booking appt the midwife gave me some sample pots. Every time I go to a midwife or antenatal appt I take a sample of FMU - I don't produce one there, I go in the morning and it sits on the bathroom windowsill winking at the OH!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Thanks - I "made one earlier" when I had my booking in appointment at home, and my midwife asked me to do another one as it had to be in a special steralized container that had boric acid in it or something. All I know is the tube she gave me was tiny! lol
My midwife suggested I buy a jug, then decant a bit into the sample pots. Trying to aim into those little tubes when you're nearly full term and haven't seen your fanny for three months is a bit ambitious!
I bought a cheapy 50p plastic jug that I can ditch after I'm done providing every Tom, !!!!!! and Harry a sample of my wee every week!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Good idea fluffnutter. I'll have to get one of those jugs. Thing is, I've not been given any sample pots. Am I meant to ask for a supply of them?Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Ikkle, I'd ring them for advice if you're worried about it, although I believe light spotting after sex is v common due to cervix being more easily irritated than normal.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Morning all
Thinking of you kitten pie, hope everything has gone perfectly
Apologies for being quiet lately as well, we have been trying to decorate our bedroom and have been away for the weekend.
I THINK everything is still ok, but I'm still worrying. Symptoms have pretty much disappeared - not that I have really had any that strong anyway.
Just can't wait til 12 weeks! I have had two scans on the nhs now, but I think I'll pay for another one in about 10 days when I'll be 10.5 weeks.
My DH can't come to the 12 week one so it will be nice for him to see the one at 10.5 hopefully.
Hope everyone else is well?

Hi All,
Back from the scan, - we had our counselling session booked after hence the delay.
All is well, currently 12+5 although they will keep me at 12+2 to avoid having to change all the paperwork for a couple of days.
At the previous scans, mini_cub has been very still (probably sleeping) so this time I had a Jaffa Cake just before going in. Well Mini_cub couldn't stay still and was jumping everywhere which was lovely to see.
Thank you for all your well wishes!
We also bumped into the mortition who was lovely and was nice to chat to under different circumstances. As we said to him, hopefully we won't meet him this timeOH hopes that it isn't a sign, which I am sure it isn't.
Scottishchick I wouldn't worry about it. When the boys died, i remember reading that there are 17 stillborns a day and thinking that we have lost two at least there are only 15 other families going through this today. If you think of it in a similar way to miscarriages the more who miscarry the less likely it is to be you. I know it isn't a nice way to think but it is the only way I have stayed partly sane.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
