I'm back from A&E. The doctor I saw did another urine test which came back clear from UTIs and confirming a positive pregnancy test. She also took 4 vials of blood, and has booked me in for an early scan on Monday at the EPAC. She seems fairly positive which has reassured me a bit, but also said that until I get the scan and the blood results come through, she can't confirm that everything is ok. She says my risk factors are low but if the abdo pains get worse, or I'm worried or get shoulder pain, to go back in. Moon is away on business on Monday and Tuesday so I called my Mum when I got home, to find out that my Nana had a fall this morning, so she and my sister are over there! Now I'm worried about her too! She is 94. Apparently they are waiting to hear back from social services about providing her with night time carers. A stair gate has also been installed to help prevent further falls.

Thats good news ? is it ? Not great that you have to wait but at least no news is meant to be good news

Sexymouse, It is good that the doctors are positive and that you have an early scan. Try and relax over the weekend if you can. Best wishes for your Nana.

Thank you everyone - it means a lot that I can talk to you all as none of my real-life friends know I'm pregnant yet. I'm taking it as good news for the moment, and trying to stay positive. Just spoken to my Mum and she says my Nana isn't badly injured but is still very shaken. The paramedics stayed for an hour to check she was ok, and she's been put to bed now. My Mum will keep me updated, and hopefully will be able to come with me on Monday if she takes an early lunch.

hi sexymouse try not to worry i had unexplained spotting on and off right through preg with DD every time i panicked and called and everytime had to go in and be checked out but everything was fine first time was when i was about 6wks then again at 10 wks had a scan that time then on and off till final time 3 days before she was born. id had a MC before DD so was paranoid but apparently its quite common. TMI WARNING it was usually bright red but only a tiny bit when i wiped not enough for a panty liner. i also had crampy pains. when i had MC at 7wks it started with no pain at all just very light bleeding (and at A&E preg test came back negative) but quickly (within about 2hrs) got heavier and bad period pains started. i hope everything is ok for you at scan just think positive good luck.

Sexymouse good news that they are scanning you. I'm sorry you have to wait until Monday, I know how horrible it is to have to wait. Try your hardest not to worry (impossible I know), put your feet up and let Moon look after you for the weekend. What time is your appointment?

Sorry to hear you have had some bleeding Sexymouse, it is good that the hospital have organised you a scan, just try stay positive and not worry too much although i know it's not easy x

I've done it again, fell asleep downstairs really early for a couple of hours, and I'm now wide awake! I really should just go to bed when I'm tired then I would sleep through. I just feel bad only seeing DH for an hour then going to bed.
