  • thanks emsbet and sexymouse - this is all so new to me i dont really no what to expect so i'll go with the flow and what ever my body does - no doubt i'll be posting to see if it is normal??
i guess you just dont want to feel like you are going through this alone and as much as my husband is supportive and excited he is never going to know what these cramps, and all that else is to come, is ever going to feel like.....so it is reassuring that you are all here knowing exactly what i am moaning/ranting about ! ;)

    Hello everyone! *waves*

I thought I would post on here cos it's sinking in a bit now lol.

I'm 4 + 3 and a bit nervous about it all because of a prev mc but I think I feel diff this time. Apart from being constipated and a bit nauseas i don't have any symptoms. Oh and I keep getting headaches but think thats because I've cut out caffeine and artificial sweeteners since finding out so could be withdrawals lol.

We have only told a couple of people like work and our best friends and my gran, haven't told anyone else cos with mil's death it hasn't been the right time and we decided we would wait till the scan which i'm assuming will be the beginning of March now.

Got my first midwife appointment on the 20th of Feb and I will be 7 weeks exactly. Bit excited as never got to meet mw in my last pregnancy so might make it seem a bit more real itms.

    Anyway I digress.

Ps, is philadelphia ok to eat when pregnant because it's pasturised x

 hey ikkle lovely to see you over here.

How you and your OH holding up?

There are quite a few of us here who have had losses, it is a nervous time but hopefully we can all help each other through the next few weeks :)

Yes Philadelphia is fine to eat. Have you seen they have a new chocolate one? :)

    xx

we are ok emsbet, as well as can be anyway. We have actually been quite calm and tranquil the last few days although there have been the odd moments whilst sorting through mil's belongings that we have had a bit of a cry.

i have seen the new chocolate philly but it doesn't appeal to me as much as the sweet pepper or garlic and herb one do with a packet of crisps lol x

Welcome over here ikkle. I must say the idea of chocolate philly doesn't appeal to me either. I seem to have gone off chocolate a bit, which is almost unheard of for me unless I'm really ill!

Good news! The doctor just called to tell me that the results of my slapped cheek syndrome/parvovirus immunity test have come back that I've had a previous infection, but no current infection, so I don't have to worry about contact with children who I teach who may have it now. Phew!
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Mmmmm garlic and herb :) although I do prefer the garlic bousin. May have to get some at the weekend :)

I'm glad you're doing as well as can be expected.

Ive been savory in all my pregnancy's, my first two children are boys and the one we lost last year was a girl - which is annoying as i buy into all the gender guessing malarky !

really fancy some doritos and philly now ! I have philadelphia with every meal - lovely with a curry :o although i get the sainsbury basic one as its both cheaper and nicer ! not sure about the choccy one either

good news about the slapped cheek sexymouse,

hello ikkle nice to see you've ventured over here :j
