Hi Hayley, I work in a very male-dominated environment as well and everyone has been brilliant! Nearly all of them have kids so they are all thrilled for me -- has really surprised me!

I'm 11+1 today and my sickness has been really bad over the last week or so -- sometimes 3 times a day. I've started feeling a bit different today though so I'm hoping maybe I've come through to the other side??!

I have my first scan on Friday which I'm really looking forward to -- just want them to say everything is okay. Am keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

Bit of help girls. I had a lletz procedure for abnormal cells two years ago and the Internet has been scaring me about Pre term labour and the midwife said t could be a possibility. Anyone experience of this?

From what i have read when they state earlier birth it is generally 37/38 weeks rather than 40 weeks. If they are aware of it and know of possible complications they will monitor you further. I wouldn't worry too much but speak to your midwife if you are scaring yourself, it's what they are there for.

Had my scan last week, baby wasn't in the correct position so was sent to eat chocolate and come back in 20 minutes. Baby was moving around like mad, but still wouldn't get into the right position. She managed to do the dating part of the scan but not the Downs screening. I'm due 2 days sooner than I thought I was :-)

hi all sorry to hear you have been feeling rough. i have too felt sick and acid indigestion today. got scan next Thursday and bloods tom. still haven't told work waiting till after scan. anyone know how long 12 week scan takes ?sure if ?not sure if to take morning off work. hope u ladies have better days tom. i have got second bounty pack and Emmas diary pack. few freebies in both, fruit flakes in Emmas diary handy.if u r hungry !!

off to the doctors today to see if I can get / need to have an earlier scan. My notes say that I can see the same consultant for a 12 weeks scan but I dont know if they will allow me to have one to put my mind at ease a little.

I'm meant to have booking in appt today. MW was coming to us and calling to let us know when. Haven't heard yet so not sure whether I should call them. Am I just supposed to wait in all day?! I've taken today off as holiday and have things to do!

I had the same thing and had an extra scan at 16 weeks to check the length of my cervix. saw a consultant afterwards who said it was fine and I shouldn't have any issues. he said its rare for people to have a problem these days as the accuracy of the LLETZ treatment is now so good that they don't need to remove a huge chunk to make sure they've got it, they only need to remove a small area/depth.
