we did a weekly picture of my bump for my first DS, it was great to see it suddenly pop out from one week to the next - the stretch marks which my hubby called my tiger stripes  not so much :rotfl:

  • Evening ladies,
The doctor was everything I predicted, she never even touched me once, just worked out my dates and gave me a sexy pink form to hand in. I did get my booklet from the receptionist to read though. Midwife will call me in the next few days to arrange an scan. Dr has put me down as 9 weeks, but I think 6-7 is more likely, but we shall soon see. My EDD is currently 11th August but as I say I'm expecting it to move back a week or two at least. Hubby's Bday is on the 14th, his sister the 15th and my brother on the 4th. Lots of dates to try and avoid lol.

  • hello everyone, lots of talk today, i like :) observed some lessons I'll be teaching soon and they look like they'll be knackering - between an hour and a half to 2 hour dance classes :O need 120 hrs to get my pgce so hopefully I can be near that by Easter as I'm pretty sure from Week 16 you can't lay on your back which is quite a few parts of contemporary dance!

I am only 7+5 i think but definitely bloated, dreading teaching sit ups next week! will obv turn into a nasty teacher who never demonstrates... I come home and have to undo my trousers immediately, nearly did it on train home.
I can tell it's bloating though as a) I'm only in the 8th week b) eating silly amounts of rubbish so I feel less nauseous and c) it's below my belly button if that makes sense. tempted to do photos but would need hubby to take them and I can imagine him thinking it is weird !

for those of you who've been getting nauseous and/or pain, have you taken any painkillers? I haven't yet as I know, fingers crossed, all organs are developing now but there are times I wish the pain would stop. Have noticed that I am getting used to it now though, and I don't think it is symptoms subsiding, it's just not being on holiday and worrying about every twinge. my scan seems so far away though, any tips to get through the next 4 weeks?!

I managed to get an earlier appt so saw the dr today. Would never have managed to wait until Friday!

Got my pregnancy pack and had to fill in a form which gets faxed to midwife. I have to call MW tomorrow to get my booking in appt sorted. I just keep thinking what if I'm actually not pregnant and I'm getting everyone's hopes up and wasting people's time!

I've done two tests and AF is nearly two weeks late so I must be preggers! Haven't had many symptoms today though. Slight nausea and boobs still sore, but I guess I'm just getting used to it and not symptom spotting as much as I was before I knew.

5+4 today, it's going to be a long 7 weeks til the magic 12!
