  • ok so i think my pregnancy symptoms are diminishing, i am 8 + 6 today - the last 3 days have been almost normal apart from sore breasts. i have felt like my normal self, got a swim in, went for a thai meal with OH, went shopping for hours in meadowhall yesterday. the only bad thing is i have a cold grrrr ...i never get colds.

very sorry to hear about the ladies with sickness, i dont know how you are getting by, i know i felt like doing nothing when feeling sick and ended up eating rubbish food as thats all i could face.

i think you ladies are lucky who are getting one stop shop (scan, midwife appt and bloods all in one go) as mine are all separate appointments, more excuses to think up to tell work lol my blood appt friday is going to be a dentist appt

If you want to know more about nutrition and pregnancy this is a great book, which goes through nutrients important for pregnancy, discussion re breast feeding and bottle feeding and immunisations

i am not sure if i can be bothered to stay up till 12am tonight as havent had a lot of sleep because of cold.

    Happy New Year (in advance!)

  • Just woken up from a wonderful 2 hour nap with my toddler. We snuggled up in the big bed with lots of blankets and it was bliss.
My headache is better but I now think it could be eyestrain rather than dehydration, everytime I look side to side it makes my head really hurt. I'm sure I read somewhere that pregnancy can mess about with your eyes as I was recommended to not have an eye test while I was pregnant with DD.
I'm really looking forward to the pizza tonight, as I have been ravernous all day. My one bit of drinkys will be a shot of beer in a pint of lemonade for toasting in the new year. Although I don't pay to much attention to all the guidelines and things, I don't usually drink anything stronger than a shandy so this is certainly not the time to be experimenting lol.
Happy New Year to you all guys.
    xx x

I sympathise with all your sickness but kindof wishing I had it too! I've still got not many symptoms and would love a few more so that I'd be a bit more reassured that everything is OK. A bit ridiculous that I want sickness! Lol
I had terrible morning sickness from 4 weeks til 20+ weeks with my 3 DDs. However, had nothing this time, what felt like a slight hangover on and off for the first week or so, and that was it! Oh, as u can see from my signature, this one is a boy ;) xx
    Mummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3, :D and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T

Ooh that is reassuring emmylou, thanks! I'm trying hard not to panic unneccessarily but we've been ttc for about 6 years (on and off) and had very much decided that it wasn't to be, especially due to my age (will be 42 when/if the baby comes!!).
Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.
  • So sorry to hear your news hiphouse. Take care of yourself hun. xx

  • WW2BR - thanks for the kind words and I am so pleased for you guys with a succesful 12wk scan!

I hope to be back here as soon as possible!
Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect, you've just decided to see beyond the imperfection.....
  • Finally got free of the evil evil headache I've been suffering from. Went to my mum and dad's to pick up DD and she was as good as gold for them last night, and have offered to take her a few nights here and there in the future. She also gave a book of baby names she found in her local free book shop and a gorgous 8 piece baby set in nuetral colors. She said she'd been sale shopping and just couldnt resist lol I think Nanny might be more excited than I am!!!
My dad has given me a few bags of crystalised giner pieces, which are a god send and were the thing that saved me when I was having DD. I now have a pack by the bed for the mornings and overnight, a pack in my handbag for out and about and one in the car for travel sickness. I think that should keep me covered lol.
Off to knit another baby hat and eat the last of the quality street, just the penny toffees and the toffee fingers left so I hope no one phones while I'm munching lol
    Hope your all okay

  • I'm really angry at the moment! I had a message on Facebook from a random friend saying congrats, and asking about names, sex, due date ect ect. Turns out someone I know is taking it upon themselves to spread my happy news!
I just know it's going to get back to MIL who is going to kick off big time. Our relationship is frosty at best a anyway so this is going to be really fun ¦(
Why do people do this? I've messaged her saying to stop but I think its too late. I really want to cry
