    Fishcake it starts Wednesday!!!!
Student mrs I'm in the diff too and a student too. Is a psi in backside lol. I had to cry on te phone to get my scan appointment when I phoned yesterday as my placements are all over and I can't miss any or I be in big trouble. Booked scan for 24th January. My lmp was 14th november. They did tell me they didn't have their February timetable out yet tho. But yea they all at funny times lol.
love you lots like jelly tots :o
  • I thought you were Cardiff, the capitals may have helped! Yeah, I'm worried about getting a date that fits in with hubby's lectures and my teaching placement, eek! I've been quite used to being awkward about that for several different things. Are they quite full up do you think or were they able to be flexible? I wonder how long it all takes, did they say if it includes a scan? It's so great to hear someone that has spoken to them! Have you told your uni yet then? Part of me wants to wait to see the scan and check it is all working but those who have done PGCE's before have said to tell straight away, especially as mine is a practical subject which involves moving a lot - going to be fun if I'm still feeling this sick :(

  • A few random replies from what I've skim-read, and an update from us:

    a) Sorry Biker for the MC, it didn't sound good a few weeks ago and I'm glad you now know for sure and can get to terms with what is really happening instead of wondering and carrying on with some hope that maybe things would be ok. Hope you are back here again soon, when you're ready. However long that takes you.

    b) My mum tried to convince my DW to start knitting, but didn't get far. We're not going to be able to do anything like that, maybe my mum'll start knitting again, for the first time in at least 20 years. Stranger things have happened...

    c) We have a little saying. The worse my DW is feeling, the better I am. At least I know that her pregnancy symptoms are still going strong, which can only be a good thing.

And finally, we had our 12 week scan on Wednesday, as scheduled. It was all perfect, which we couldn't quite believe. So we now need to remove ourselves from the list and move onto the next thread. A very scary prospect itself, because now there's a 98% chance of us becoming parents!!!

I hope you all have as positive an experience as we are having so far, and that you all continue to feel sick, struggle eating, spend all day constantly sleeping, and generally feel pants. That's all good news, believe me :)
Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...
  • I sympathise with all your sickness but kindof wishing I had it too! I've still got not many symptoms and would love a few more so that I'd be a bit more reassured that everything is OK. A bit ridiculous that I want sickness! Lol
Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.

I had no sickness at all, not even once. Had no aches/pains, or problems of any sort really, pregnancy has been pretty much a joy for me, so don't wish it on yourself honestly :p everything will be fine! I've got 5 and a half weeks left and I think I'll miss being pregnant :o

Thanks for the reassurance! This is my 2nd pregnancy, the last one I had nausea, metallic taste, strong sense of smell, tiredness, etc but not so much this time. Mind you that was quite a while ago (DS is 7 tomorrow!) so a bit of a gap & I'm quite old now, lmao.

  • Hi folkies - do you mind if i join you lovely ladies :) have had a positive test and been to the doc - all seems a bit unreal and i wont really believe it till i see it on the ultrasound screen for myself :)

My daughter was stillborn in July so whilst me and my hubby are delighted to be in this position it is far from being the exciting time it was when i fell pregnant before .

I reckon im about 7 weeks (cycles have been a bit erratic since july)

Is lovely to see some folk from the trying to conceive board xx

Ah that's good you've been here before :p I only posted because when I was on this thread, people were saying things like "oh the stronger your symptoms the stronger your pregnancy etc" and that is utter nonsense, didn't want to think anyone was panic-ing and worrying over lack of symptoms :) xx

Student they said two to three hours. Scan, bloods and questions lol. They were adamant they could only offer me a Friday morning as that's when my midwife will be in. I can't do it I have patients scheduled for next three months. So I cried lol she said she wasn't meant to but she put me in a Tuesday afternoon on a day when I don't have patients but I am still gonna have to beg for the time off. I did tell them at my end of term review because when I go back I'll be 8 weeks and I already quite bloated and in maternity bras so I wouldn't put it past then to figure it out do I thought better be honest. And it's my second and I heard u show earlier
love you lots like jelly tots :o
