Thanks for your reply! I agree that I'm not wishing for morning sickness, but at the moment I don't really feel pregnant, so I feel a bit of a fraud! Actually debating whether to go and buy another pregnancy test to make sure, although I did two on Thursday and haven't had any bleeding etc .... Perhaps I'm just going mad!

Just looking forward to my first appointment with the midwives in January so I can (hopefully) relax a bit!

i know what you mean.. i am waiting too. its only been a week since i saw the GP but the Gp was totally useless and couldnt wait for me to leave ;( so am just waiting for the MW appointment so i can relax too. hehe

It seems a long time to wait - but at least we have Christmas and New Year to take our mind off things! Here's hoping the time flies quickly and we both have happy appointments!

I'm 6+1 now and starting to get sickness! The last couple of days it came on in the afternoon/evening and the only thing that seems to ease it is eating! Woke up feeling rough today and it's not really shifted apart from when I eat. So far today have had cereal, a banana, a carrot with hummus, ham salad sandwich and a bag of crisps. Have a yogurt, some tinned peaches and a mini twix to get through the afternoon. Am trying so hard to snack healthily! Apart from the twix of course!

Good news is that my cramps have got less frequent. I saw the doctor almost a week ago now and she said the midwife would be in touch within 2 weeks... I really hope she calls before Xmas!

I told my friend last night who is 6 months pregnant. I was a bit worried she'd think I was jumping on her bandwagon/stealing her thunder but she was really pleased. I have to stop myself from asking her loads of stupid questions though!

Congrats Nikkikayj and good luck in the next thread. hey chrissy, am still feeling a few cramps and i calculated that will be 6 weeks tomorrow have the sicky feeling but i hope i dobt get sick. just went to a local salon to have my eyebrows threaded and that smell of the nails being done, made me feel so sick! :-(lucky i wasnt in there for too long.

Rups - hair dye, also ready you should avoid this in first 3 months - what about tryung henna hair dye which doesn't contain harsh chemicals. Its messy to do but gives a good result - you can buy it from lush- maybe ask in store to ensure its safe

Gemma - thinking booking in appts vary - I had one at hearly 7 weeks but some people are past that date but haven't got an appt yet


I am 7 weeks plus 3 days today, less than 5 weeks till I can tell people,also have a date to start for new job on 17th jan. Really pleased that I have been able to cope with symptoms and not have to tell people:)

Free pregnancy packs are they worth it?

Was given first bounty pack at booking in appt and I know you can get 4 more if you opt to, same with emmas diary, you can also get packs from them...wanted to know are they worth i it or will I get hassled in future by companies...which packs did you go for?

morning everyone :-)

had a bit of a stressful evening with hubby,, we were both irritated and got on each other's nerves. as a result went to bed with a headache and then at 4 woke up with it worse so had some paracetamol, and went back to bed. hubby was annoyed with me still as i woke up to go to the loo, and managed to bang the seat down. oops.. so this morning, he was still grumpy and i feel a bit weird too as the headache is still there. :0( am trying to have water etc so lets see.

working from home today :-( and am 6 weeks today. still not sign of the letter from midwife

Thanks for your advise laura.. me and henna dont go as it might turn my hair orange. lol.. might go into holland and berret and ask. i think as long as u use one without ammonia, it should be ok? but i can stay away from it for a while and just use mascara on the sides. lol
