Hello everyone - I'm back again! Got my BFP yesterday after peeing on LOTS of sticks, and am feeling generally OK except I'm utterly exhausted - I get to about 2.30 and think I might die. Oh, and my b00bs hurt. But I've got symptoms earlier and stronger than I did with my MC, so I'm feeling quite positive about it.

I'm just going to take this a week at a time at the moment, I'm not going to tell my GP until after Christmas when I'll be about 6 weeks, and I may be a bit low key on here. But still - eeeeee! We're very happy.

Just popping in from the 12-24 week thread, have been lurking - so so so pleased to see you back Sa-ra-ra-ra, prob don't even know who I am lol but anyway, congrats x

  • rups - emmas diary is like a little mag which includes diary of a pregnant woman and other info about pregnancy - you arent really missing out on much, you might get given one at your booking in appt.

managed a full bowl of porridge today - woo hoo! feels like an achievement - me and hubby are heading into town for tea and cake and to get in the christmas spirit, really strange to think that next christmas we will have a 5 month old child! eeekk lol

i had a craving for cumpets yesterday, never eat the things but had to get some.

has anyone past the 9 week mark noticed a decrease in early preg symptoms? i know they say thats the highest peak of hormones

    Merry Christmas everyone

  • If hormones are the highest at around 9 weeks, this may explain why this morning I just wanted to cry! About what, I'm not entirely sure, except I'm tired of waking up at 2am every night with cramps/wind. My OH has been an absolute star and gave me the biggest hug before he had to head out. Poor man is feeling a bit under the weather himself with a head cold.

I've been pretty calm throughout, even when we had the bleeding and visit to the Early Pregnancy clinic where it took a while for them to find the heartbeat at 7-8 weeks. So, quite why I'm feeling so fragile/pregnant now, I'm not entirely sure and am blaming the hormones :p

To date, my tummy is such that my normal jeans are OK, but I've a muffin top. Should I be getting bigger round the tummy this early (I'm 9-10 weeks). Our dating scan is on 6 January and I'm looking forward to a clearer date for where we are at with timings.

I'm off this afternoon to stay with OH over Christmas holidays, so if I don't get a chance at a later date, I wish you all a safe, healthy and happy holiday season.

I am at 9 + 5 now and I noticed a decrease in sickness from week 8. But an increase in tierdness! Can't even wash up without needing to lie down after for a rest. General wind/heart burn/bloating all decreased too actually. But do appear from time to time still. Just want the tierdness to go too!! Esp today when I need to do stuff as i'm catering for 8 tomorrow!!!!!!!! God help me ...

You probably wouldnt be getting a bigger tummy from the baby itself yet, BUT you may well be getting more fluid retention from all the hormones, which does often puff you tummy out more. You may find this disappears again, before the real baby belly appears..
Good luck for your appointments in the New Year!

I had quite a bump at 9 weeks but it was more bloating than anything. I posted a pic on here actually, if you're interested it would have been at the beginning of October I think.

Rebekah, I didn't really suffer with tiredness that much during the first 12 weeks but I definately am now! I end up having an afternoon nap most days! I'm 22 weeks now so i imagine it's only going to get worse for me from here!
  • welcome to all the latest new ladies since I was last logged on and I hope everybodies Christmas Days went without a hitch!

Only a couple more days to next EP scan, boy its dragging - you know what I mean?! I have a load of jobs round the house while off work to hopefully pass the time without me thinking about it too much.
Still getting a very little bleeding (dark brown almost) everyday, so like some of you have said with similar symptons I'm sure everything is ok, I'm just going to do that for some of the pregnancy.

I'll pop back on Thur with the latest news, keep well all.
Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect, you've just decided to see beyond the imperfection.....
  • Christmas day was good, maanaged to catch up with all the relatives and help my nephews 4 years old and 15 months open their presents, pretty crazy with all the noisy toys and stuff, next year there will be our child to join them. :) really pleased that me and hubbie have kept our big secret still, month to go and we can tell people

Symptoms for me changing all the time- less sickenss in the morning for me but I struggle at night now, the odd bout of tiredness, last few days has been stomach pains. Have felt like crying quite a bit too, had tears in my eyes watching dr who yesterday, any show of emotion brings tears to my eyes.

I am off work till 3rd jan, so taking it easy

  • Christmas day was lovely. Morning with friends -including a mate of OH who came out of the hospice for 90 minutes. It made OH's christmas :D Hope everyone is having a good holiday.

Thanks too for comments about the 9 weeks bloating. I was getting worried that I was putting on far too many inches. I had to buy a new bra (d cup instead of the usual b cup so OH is happy.... called me Pamela Anderson this morning)!

Bikerchick I really wish you well. It's difficult with the bleeding I know. There's a low level anxiety that doesn't affect the day or people around us, but affects us in a way it's difficult to explain. I can't get too excited about this pregnancy, though my gratitude to have this first pregnancy is immense, a real miracle, and just hope that nature is kind to us (though I appreciate nature can be brutal too).
