  • Hi everyone. I'm at 7 weeks now and I have hardly any symptoms. My boobs were sore for a few weeks but have eased off a bit and I was getting up in the night to go to the loo but that has stopped too. No sickness either. I am tired but I'm sure that's just normal tiredness.

On the plus side I have no bleeding and no cramps. I can't help but worry that something is wrong though. There's nothing I can do I suppose, just wait for my booking in appointment and see what the me says. This is about the only time I'm miffed that I'm not feeling sick!

Morning all. hope everyone had a good xmas and have been well.

welcome to the new people here. :)

my xmas was different as spent it for the first time with the in-laws. :) i missed my family though. we ate loads. I think i didnt eat as much as i normally do at xmas as just kep having that yucky queasy feeling. not been sick but feeling nauseous all the time. keep having mints to calm me down. MIL was sweet as she kept telling me to sit down. was ok but feeling a bit ewww.. havent had the chance to rest though. the next day we left the inlaws and came to ours, and we did dinner for the in laws again. hubby is so good, he cooked it though as i am rubbish at doing roasts. i washed up but like it was mentioned, the thought of washing up nowdays just makes me want to cry :-(

yesterday i had my family round, which was nice, but more washing up and cleaning up. bless hubby,. he did the food again, as i couldnt handle it. the smell of the roast pork the other day was making me heave. yuck. also have a bit of my cold left so when i cough, i sometimes gag.. :(

just feel tired all the time. this morning, getting up for work was so so hard. :-( havent even started work yet. had some porridge and orange juice. have a slight uncomfy pain on my right side today.. ites not sharp but uncomfy. bit like an ibs pain. :-(
    hope everyone is ok. x

  • Morning all,
I got my BFP this morning, after putting 2 and 2 together about why I've been so "off" these last few weeks. I think I am around 6-7 weeks as my first pregnancy took a long while to turn up on any test.
I had to tell my mum straight away but she was the one who helped me work it out so she was waiting on the news. No one else other than OH will know until our first scan. I will phone up the doctor a little later as today is Xmas Day 2 in our house with all OH's lot coming up for the day. It's going to kill me not to say anything.
It took us 4 long hard years to conceive our first so catching now is a bit of a shock but an expected shock IYSWIM. We were prepared for DD to be an only child if that is what was to be. We have quite strong religious veiws so would never go down the road of IVF or fetility treatment.
Looking forward to battling with the midwifes again!

Congrats to all the other mummys to be on the thread :)

  • Welcome to the newly pregnant ladies. Congratulations and best wishes for a healthy pregnancy.

I've had more bleeding and am now waiting for an appointment to the Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic (EPAC) to see if, two weeks on, they can see where this bleeding is coming from. The GP advising me to be philosophical about the bleeding, but that's a bit hard when I'm swimming in hormones.

EPAC office wasn't open when the GP called an hour ago, so I'm waiting for a call on my mobile with an appointment to go in. I'm sorry to say that I burst into tears on the phone to OH when I told him that I needed to go back to EPAC. He's so lovely and I really don't want to worry him and he's a bit under the weather himself with a cold.

This is really so difficult, being a bleeder! I'm so sorry to sound gloomy, but I just had to share this somewhere.
  • Hiya all. I've been meaning to join here since I got my BFP on 17th Dec but keep panicking about sharp pain I've gotten a couple of times which to me has meant ectopic! Drs have confirmed with urine test and though we are only 5 and 5 according to an app I've downloaded on my IPod, our parents have been told as my dad lives overseas so we wanted to tell him face to face so now I'm doubly worried it is all jinxed. Positive reactions so far which is interesting as I'm about to start the placement part of my PGCE, oops.

Everyone feeling sick?! Past two weeks I have felt queasy all day and this last week somesharp pains on my right side, constant need for loo and much bigger b oo bs. Hoping everything is healthy but I am such a worrier! Computer puts my estimated dd bout the 24th August but I'm not even allowed to book initial appt until 7th Jan... Ick.

I am normally more positive and also really grateful to join this section of the site. Must've more anxious because it's our first maybe?!

    Best wishes to all x

  • Congratulations to you! It all sounds good to me! The pains on the right side that you mention are common and are the bean bedding into the uterus - it's happened to most of us, which is how I found out about it on this site. No question is a daft question! Your body is being flooded with hormones, so you will feel a bit odd. Hope you can go with the flow and enjoy this pregnancy.
