Prayed for you as I am a christian :) Good luck.
Bless you both Rups and Rebekah for writing back. I'm stuck in front of the computer willing time to pass until OH gets home so it's good to share. I am trying to relax with classic fm, candles and prayers to a higher power that I can't identify:o

The blood is bright red and I do have lower abdominal pain. Had clot at 7-8 weeks, but the pregnancy was viable the following day. It's the pain over the last two days that is wearing, but blood loss has eased up again. I have to accept that nature will take it's course, it's just that I want a guarantee that all shall be well. Honestly, sometimes I'm such a child:p

I'm so grateful to have this board to share my feelings on. I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow. I still feel pregnant so am hoping that's a good sign.

Thanks again for all the support, it means a lot.

Rups I read somewhere that progesterone is a sleepy hormone. I'm taking prenatal vitamin but my problem I think at the minute is I'm just not eating. Toast toast toast. Oh and oranges. I can't stomac anything else. Even looking at a vegetable makes me gag. I can't open fridge without gagging. Everything is just yuk
love you lots like jelly tots :o
  • hiphouse - i am sorry to hear you are continuing to have bleeding. i hope the scan tomorrow is clear, let us know.

book recommendations - these two books i got from the library have been reading them the last few weeks

Baby Centre Pregnancy questions and answers, everything you need to know week by week - this is quite a practical book with lots of Qs and answers was handy as no family friends know i am pregnant so puts your mind at rest about questions. i wouldnt buy it though - worth getting out of the library

The Pregnant Body Book - the complete illustrated guide from conception to birth by DK books
i love this book its got great pictures and takes you step by step development of your baby, also talks about labour, newborn babies and the first 2 years. its a pretty expensive book at £25 - maybe its cheaper on amazon
i wont be buying this one either just because i have loads of books and i know i can just get stuff out of the library when i want - there is also a book by the same company called pregnancy day by day.........not sure how this compares to the one i have

when i went to see the useless gp, she just wrote me a pres for folic acid that was it. at the pharmacy i asked whether i can take stuff like vit c or anything else as am tired. she said no need to as should be getting them from foods. but i dont think i am, as have been craving crisps, etc and not eaten that much veggie. :(

  • 8 + 3 today :) the further along i get the more excited, counting down to that scan in january.

i think this board is great to express and discuss how we are feeling, my family and friends dont know about my pregnancy so its nice to speak with other people about this, OH is great and understanding but doesnt know completely how it feels

my parents were round last night and my mum asked if i was going to have children, luckily she continued talking before i had to answer saying how a family friend is really struggling with her newborn and they are constantly tired - this does scare me but no going back now hehe

i really hope we will get positive reactions from friends and family when we tell them.

i was saying to OH today how i have really not been myself at all since the pregnancy, feeling crappy most of the day, not really motivated to do anything. i normally swim twice a week for an hour and really enjoy this but i have struggled to go with feeling generally unwell - i am going to try tomorrow. feeling tired too, have slept 10 hours a few nights in a row which just seems too much have also fell alseep in the day for half an hour here and there.

for those who have had previous pregnancies - when did you start needing to wear mat clothing? i was debating looking for stuff in the sale

hope everyones day has been managable

    Laura

  • hiphouse, sooo sorry to hear that you have had more blood loss, looks like you will have more info than myself with that early appointment!
I'm in at 10am tomorrow, almost 3wks since I started to bleed and hopefully confirm I am still pregnant, heartbeat? and confirm dates.

My fingers are crossed for us both!
Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect, you've just decided to see beyond the imperfection.....
