    Morning all,
I got my BFP this morning, after putting 2 and 2 together about why I've been so "off" these last few weeks. I think I am around 6-7 weeks as my first pregnancy took a long while to turn up on any test.
I had to tell my mum straight away but she was the one who helped me work it out so she was waiting on the news. No one else other than OH will know until our first scan. I will phone up the doctor a little later as today is Xmas Day 2 in our house with all OH's lot coming up for the day. It's going to kill me not to say anything.
It took us 4 long hard years to conceive our first so catching now is a bit of a shock but an expected shock IYSWIM. We were prepared for DD to be an only child if that is what was to be. We have quite strong religious veiws so would never go down the road of IVF or fetility treatment.
Looking forward to battling with the midwifes again!

Congrats to all the other mummys to be on the thread :)

    congrats to everyone. yay! :-)

i was scared too with the pains on the right side, which i still get. i had never though of the ectopic preg student..Since coming on here, i have felt at ease knowing it is th ebean adjusting so i want to think of that, otherwise i get myself way too wound up. was so upset at hubby at the weekend. dont knw what happend, and we just had an arguement which carried on all day, and some horribl things were said, and i was just glugging and crying, which got on his nerves more. bah.. we eventually made up and i want to try and not get too stressed but at times, with his temper, i end up getting stressed. he is so irritable at anything and sometimes just raises his voice for no reason at all, and then i get upset. when he is calm, he is sooo lovely and looks after me. lol. and they say they dont understand women! think they are mad! :)

mil was saying, key is to try and relax and be positive. I havent told my older bro yet as much i wuold love to, as his wife is such a big mouth so have to wait. :( my mum and inlaws know, just for support and advise.. am dying to tell my best friend but dont know what to do?

I am 10 + 2 and my tights/trousers whilst still fit and becoming uncomfy. I shall get down to the sales over the next few weeks. Not that I need a lot but because its sales I would rather get a tad earlier. But I deffo need tights.

MIL was sweet as she kept telling me to sit down.
Mine was the oppisite!! Kept telling me "your only pregnant dear. And I worked right up until I was 8 months pregnant a 40 hour week"

Thanks love but you had no sickness after you got up in the morning so can't possibly conpare ... Silly old bag.

The sickness has come back the past 2 days for me. Along with the indigestion and heartburn. Thought that would be gone :o

Ok I know I should know this being my second. But that was four years ago. I am super tired. Walk my daughter to nursery three miles return trip climb into bed sleep for four hours , up for twO hours, another hour nap then pick daughter up from nursery. She goes to bed at seven. I go at nine if I make it that far and up again at six. Seriously guys is this normal?

With regards to the pain. I got that a lot in my first and was ligaments stretching
love you lots like jelly tots :o

omg you poor thing. and here i thought i was tired. i think the range of tiredness varies with different people right? i think if i got the chance, i would be in bed pretty most of the time.

rebekah so sorry to hear that about your mil. i hate it when they start looking down on you like that. my mum is like that and rather than saying something supportive, something totally different comes out of her mouth like 'carry on dong housewrok and stuff as you are not ill'. i know i am not ill but if i am tired and i cant? grrr

  • I've just had a call to go into the Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic at the local hospital tomorrow morning at 8.30am.

They'll check if I'm still pregnant (pregnancy test) and if I am, do a scan before I see the doctor. I don't want to project into an unknown future, but I do feel extremely sad to be going through this continuing uncertainty.

Are you bleeding bright red? Clotty? Heavy? Any pain other than the usual stretching odd sharp twinges etc?

I had bleeding at 7 weeks. Lasted 10 days in total. Some was bright red and scared the hell out of me. No clotting and no pain so whilst I was concerned I wasn't petrified. Usually non clotty and no pain = good news.
