Cramping is horrible, hope you feel better. How far a long are you? x
Well, I am approaching 9 weeks (tomorrow, if I go by the size of the babies at the scan, or Thursday if by the doctor's dates). I have no time to get to this scan - that is my problem! I was offered to come weekly if I wanted at the clinic, but I can't get time. i am on the training course this week, and the client's Monday and Tuesday, working from home next Wednesday and going for the scan Thursday morning, so it doesn't really make much sense to try and fit another one in. Just nheed to be patient.
The pains I think more due to sitting uncomfortable at my desk, I did feel better at home, when I could stretch my legs or curl up as I wanted.Patience. All is going to be great!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Hi ladies.
Well, at today's scan there was no heartbeat. The baby died at ten and a half weeks. Obviously we have no idea why. I have been referred to talk to someone at the hospital but there was a 2 hour wait today and so we came home. I don;t think they will investigate anyway, as I believe it has to be three in a row, not just three.
I am in part denial and part anger right now. Have texted everyone who knew, OH phoned parents who cried, which is natural but not helpful IYSWIM. We need them to be strong for us.
I kinda felt something was wrong. I had found the heartbeat at 10 and a half weeks on my home doppler but not since. Perhaps I heard baby's last heartbeats? I don;t know, but I treasure the memory of that galloping heart. I also lost my sickness two weeks ago, which I convinced myself was just normal as I was approaching the end of the first trimester, but I now know was because the baby had died.
I also had some minor cramping this morning, which is there again now, like just before you have a period.
I'm hoping to pass the baby naturally at home, but I am aware it will be much bigger then my previous two miscarriages where the babies died at 6 weeks, and am not sure if this is foolish and if I should have the operation?
I can go to the hospital tomorrow to discuss it if I want but I'm not sure what to do, to be honest.
I just can;t believe it. We did get a picture, the lady let us have it free. We can see the face, and an arm and a leg sticking up in the air. It's nice to have something to keep. One day, when my family is complete (although maybe it is already) I will do something for all my lost babies, some ceremony. This all just feels so unfair.
Sorry to bring the thread down. skintchick - I am so sorry. I just can't believe this. Why things have to go wrong? Why can't we just enjoy our pregnancies, but have to worry every single day and every single step? Why does it have to be so hard!!!!!
We had a few bad news recently here, and it is just so scary. Be strong for yourself, and for each other. I can only offer virtual hugs, cups of tea, and an ear to listen if you need one.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Skintchick, I am so sorry to hear your news. How awful. I am thinking about you. Really big ((((HUGS)))).
Gin, I think I am a couple of weeks behind you, but a week or so ago I was having crampy type pains consistently. I am not too worried now as had a private scan at the weekend. Really early, but saw heartbeat (v emotional). Over the last few days pains have subsided, but I have felt a bit poorly and managed to throw up in work last week! Hope you feel better soon.

My DW and I are going for our first scan tomorrow, after IVF treatment. We have been following the TTC thread on here for a while now, and are currently 6+1... The IVF clinic do a scan after approx 6 weeks, to see how things are progressing, and that's tomorrow.
We're somewhat apprehensive, which I guess is normal, especially seeing all the stories that just make it all so real that anything can happen, and that no pregnancy is successful until birth - and that anything can (and does) happen at any point, for no reason, and that we can't take anything for granted.
Last year, my wife had a MC at 6-7 weeks (after natural conception, which was unexpected to say the least), they don't know exactly when, but they found no heartbeat and the "black blob" on the ultrasound scan actually shrank week on week, so we knew it wasn't going anywhere.
Is there anything that you ladies have found that works, to take your mind off the fact you're pregnant? I mean, with the sickness, the cravings for weird food (my wife's eating olives for breakfast, and can't stand cereal), the constant tiredness and inability to do anything without falling asleep.... I guess that for as long as these symptoms continue, we have to hope that all is ok.... But I think that another 220 days of this must be enough to make any pregnant lady go totally insane........Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -
Skintchick - I am so sorry, I have just cried after reading your post ((((hugs)))). I think the idea of some sort of ceremony when the time is right is lovely.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

I wondered if anyone could help by telling me when it is usual to get a 3+ weeks positive pregnancy test on a digi? I am 5 weeks and 2 days and did a digi today but it is saying that I am 2-3 weeks. I know you are supposed to add 2 weeks but that should mean I should be 3+ weeks on the digi by now. I know I shouldn't worry but I had a mc previously at just over 5 weeks.0

You need to add 2 weeks to the digi. So if you're between 4-5 weeks pregnant the digi will read 2-3. It should explain it in the instructions, if you used the same digi as me anyway, clearblue?
You'l be 5+2 with dates, which aren't always accurate anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much. 2-3 seems about right for 5+2.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Saw my midwife today for my booking in. As a result I now have 1 million appointments to book and attend! Argh. I didn't realise I would be spending my life at the doctors. Have to go back tomorrow to see a doctor about my pelvis, back in 2 weeks for my flu jab, go the hospital for my blood work and urine (nice), back to the midwife in a few weeks, ring the hospital to book my 12 and 20 week scan then go barmy from having to deal with receptionists and the NHS
On the up side I got my two first bounty packs with lots of goodies and nearly cried when I saw the new born nappy.
