Wow. Long night. I've been awake since 3.30am.

Still bleeding but the cramping has dulled to a constant ache. We're praying that 2 implanted and we've maybe lost one. I know that sounds awful, but we've waited so long for this bfp (over 2 years) and this IVF was our last shot. There is neither money nor time to have another go. I can't loose this baby.

We'll be going to the EPAC at 9am so not long to wait now.

Get some rest, and I hope that scan will show some good news.

I am still knackered. Have to go to work now, short day thankfully - seeing GP this afternoon, so have an excuse to leave at 1.30!

Thanks for the congrats guys. Wow, that makes if feel more real! I have had a loss before so I have gone private and booked a scan which is TOMORROW and I am soooooo scared and sooooo excited at the same time. I have held it together for the couple of weeks since I found out and just couldn't wait till 12 weeks to see if everything is ok! I was on the pill so I dont have an exact date so tomorrow I should find out my date, if everything is ok ( should get a heartbeat as should be at least 7wk 5dys ) and will find out how many there are

Please all pray and send positive vibes as I really hope everything is ok this time.

Sorry to those who've had bad news - always sounds insincere when it's said - but I really DO know how it feels for you (especially after such a long journey - I had two miscarriages after about 4 years of trying and it was hell on earth to get over).

Thriftygal - think I got a confirmed heartbeat at 7+4, probable one at 6+4 but I'm a nightmare to scan early because I've got a retroverted uterus and I'm overweight.

Feel bad posting this with all the sad news - but I got discharged from the pregnant-after-losses monitoring yesterday - they've scanned me weekly from 5 weeks for reassurance/monitoring (they thought the losses were all at a similar point in time so could be linked), today I'm 11 weeks by dates - the "proper" 12 week scan's in a week and a bit - so I left with a scan photo (oh how I've wanted to leave that room with a photo and not a leaflet) showing a 10+4 jelly baby with a heartbeat I could see going badoinkadoink like mad - and unlike previous scans where it's just been a flicker, it was all recognisable babyish (well, it's 50/50 that it's a baby or I'm having some freakish deformed duck).

Actually feel, even though it's still the first trimester, that we may well be some of the way out of the woods with it all - and the miscarriage consultant seemed very confident that we're well past the point of previous losses, and that it should all go ok in the normal ante-natal system from now on (but to come back if we had any problems and they'd happily take another look - same with subsequent pregnancies).

Considering going "public" and putting the duck pic up on FB.
