I have moved my appointment with GP to this Thursday, as work decided that the big boss will be coming to the office on Monday, and I would like to be there, if just to put an appearance. So, I'll see him earlier, and I will be 8 weeks! I just wonder when will I get my midwife appointment.

Hi all :hello: - and congratulations to all new ladies!

That is a gorgeous picture ailzee! :D

Had my booking in appointment today - feel so happy, especially with the mountain of reading I have been given! The midwife was so lovely - and the blood tests didn't hurt in the slightest which I was very pleased about! My BMI is much lower than I thought too:j

Someone asked about scan dates - I think every area is different but I was told to expect a letter in about 2 weeks and that it could be anytime between weeks 10 and 14.

    Take care all

I was reading the NICE guidelines today and the scan is supposed to be between 11w+0 an 13w+6, when the baby is between 45 and 86 mm, if I remember correctly.

  • That is a great pic Alizee! :)

I'm feeling jealous! All of you getting scan dates, and I've not even got my booking appointment yet! OK, so I've only known for definite for two days, but maybe because it's the second time round it all feels a lot more real than it did last time.

Are most of you on 1st babies?

    Yep first baby here!

hope you guys don't mind me lurking here and being on 12+ too!
  • babymonster2, thats my due date too! Lovely summer babies :)

My blood pressure was a bit high when I visited my doc last week so I'm seeing the nurse on thursday to get it checked again and to book my midwife appointment! My BP is normally fine and I popped into my mums after as she has a home BP machine and it was fine there, literally 10 mins after the doc had taken it! Doc said maybe it was the nerves/excitement that made it shoot up. Really hope so......:)

My boobs are sooooo sore its unreal, really heavy and my nipples are permanently erect! Sorry for TMI.......haha x

I'd read that too which was why I was suprised the midwife said it could be from 10 weeks...although I doubt it will be that soon and am expecting it to be between 12-13. Already too excited! :) First baby for me too.
