  • Its so annoying isnt it Triangle! Dont want anything to be touching them, but taking my bra off is agony! My best friend is 8 months pregnant and from about 6 weeks-12 weeks her boobs itched so much she would literally draw blood from scratching them...she used to phone me crying! Can deal with the soreness, just dont want that please! :)
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)

I'm wondering that too moneysaver, I am 6+4 but last night before I went to bed I could have been 16 weeks pregnant I looked so big! I haven't put any weight on, but stomach definitely larger, and noticeable under clothes too. Am hoping it is just water retention or something as am planning to keep the pregnancy quiet until after 12 week scan - won't get away with another 2 weeks at this rate!

Just having a little lurk cos I quite clearly have too much time on my hands - congratulations to both of you!!! (Yes, I know we've already spoken mw ;)) MS12 our babies are very nearly the same age aren't they, you're brave to go again so soon! Will you finish uni before babe comes? Congratulations again, brilliant news :D

Re big bellies, I think it's normal for 2nd babies to show sooner due to muscles having already been stretched once, I certainly did with DS2. There's a lot of water retention around too (and some constipation, nice) which all lead to looking bigger sooner.

Ooooh, so glad I popped in for a nosy. Take care xx

Hi Courgette, thankyou. My little boy is 13 months old now, its gone so fast. I finish uni in April next year, offically will be July when i graduate.

That explains it. I was hoping to keep quite about it in rl until i had my 12 weeks scan. Will see how i go, maybe no one will notice.

Courgette is right, 2nd babies often show sooner, as your uterus and tummy muscles relax alot quicker second time round. Added to that, water retention can be quite significant in the first tri, which often makes everyones (no matter which number baby!) tummies look bigger quite early on, and then flattens out again, once the water retention settles down.

I am so tired!!!! Went to bed at 8pm last night, and woke up at 4.30 - couldn't fall asleep again. I need to learn to switch my mind of, as it was so busy with thoughts at the early hour!

I thought yesterday I was starting to show, but today I am sure it is just the bloating and water retention. During my scan doctor said that my ovaries are bigger than my uterus, and I still have some fluid from OHSS. So, I guess that is what makes up my bigger tummy.

I got the first class ticket for my train journey this morning - much better. Got a hot drink (decaf coffee - the only decaf stuff they had, was thinking next time to take some of my teabags) and a pastry. If I get the same on the way home, then the extra £4 for ticket is not that bad - at least I might get a seat.
