I told one of my friends today and she was pleased for me, then gave me a lecture about how I shouldn't tell anyone at this stage as one of her other friends lost a baby in the 7th week. Not really what I wanted to hear (although I understand that there is that risk) and whislt I am sure she didn't mean to upset me, it did a little.

One of OH's friend did this. He called us to tell that he and his wife will be having a baby when OH goes back home next month (we already knew from other sources and we haven't been back since Christmas) and OH decided to share our news with him as well, only basically to be given a lecture that we should be keeping the knows to ourselves for the first 12 weeks! We have been trying to have baby for 4 years, way before his wedding, and this was our second IVF cycle, so he could just been happy for us! In the end he told OH he didn't know about our IVF.

Anyway, it upset me at the time. I told OH how I felt and did make me feel better that he agree with me. I was really upset and ready to send him 'from all my heart' email!

She didn't explain Lixi. She used one of those calanders that they have, if its take three months away and add seven days on then that gives me a due date of 23 June, not 24 like the Doctor said. My last period was the 16 September.

Don't forget it is leap year next year - I have seen some calendars I. The books, and they would give me 14th of June instead of 13th - but baby is not going to think that oh, it's a leap year, therefore I should stay 281 days instead of 280! Mind you, very few babies arrive on the due date anyway...

Peering back in because 12-24 is quiet
The edd for me changed 3 times, online/doctor and the midwife all gave me different dates, and the date youll go off will be the scan :) so its not set in stone - anyway the bun will come out the oven when he/she is ready.

Trains make me feel so ill, I have actually puked on a train strangely enough Im fine in cars/buses/taxis its the motion and the heat and all the people - sweets work for me everytime - Im a sweet addict now :( chocoholic no more :(
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

The date my midwife gave me was out from all the calculators I'd found online too. Think she put me 2 days behind what I thought, then the scan moved me a week ahead from her date anyway. :D

I stocked up on sweets now, stopped at Sainsbury's on the way from Boots. I am absolutely fine in car - it took me 45 min to work and just over an hour back and I was absolutely fine. I am considering getting first class tickets for next week, it would be about £4 more per day, but I would probably get a seat and possibly a cup of tea as well... Might test it one day.

THanks for all the replied re vitamins. I was taking the Pregnacare with Omega 3 capsules as well, but have now swapped to the ordinary tablets as they are cheaper. Not sure how important Omega 3 is really?

The Omega 3 part is really important in the third tri, when the majority of the brain development happens, so might be worth taking them again when you get to that bit, which is what i have done.
In the first tri, then the other bits, esp folic acid are really important for the nural tubes etc, but other supplements should give you that not just the pregnacare plus.

I did a module about essential fatty acids (omega 3&6 are the main ones) at uni and they are seriously amazing things. I don't normally take much notice of things like that but now i understand the chemistry of them and the scienece behind what they do for the body I would seriously recommend that anyone who doesn't have a diet rich in them (most people don't eat enough of them) takes supplements as they are brilliant for all sorts of things. I unfortunately can't take them as I can't swallow those stupid capsules!!

I forgot its leap year next year, i have this imagine now of baby with a calander checking when he or she should be born lol. I know that baby will be coming earlier than that as i will have to have a c section.

The leap year explains why my date is a day out!

I don;t really set any store by EDDs anyway, even though DD did come at 40 weeks. In France they work to 41 weeks, and baby is on time anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks - you're not late till you are 42+1.

I ignore due dates and this time I'm working on mid-May. Last time it was 'end of July'. DD came on the 22nd so I wasn;t ready at all!!
