I was 6 weeks yesterday ( by my calculations) an the doctors office have said I don't need to see any one till im 8 weeks an even then they can't see me till 26th Oct which is closer to 10weeks is that normal? sorry if that sounds like a stupid question!

I saw my midwife about 7 weeks just to make a booking appointment which i had at just over 9 weeks. She then made an appointment for my scan which i had last week and was 11 weeks. I wouldnt worry about the wait unless there is something that is particularly worrying you and then try and ask to see them earlier.

    Oh I recognise the impatient.
Im sure once you have seen someone time will pass alot quicker. I found out when I was 4 weeks and the last 7 and a bit weeks seem to have flown by.

Mrs H, those of us who have had early scans have either paid for them ourselves because of previous miscarriages, or have had bleeding and have had them as an emergency. Its totally normal not to see your midwife till later. My last three pregnanices I saw my Mw around 6 weeks but this time I couldn;t get an appointment before 9 weeks. As long as they see you in time for you to book your 12/13 week scan then its fine.

Blimey its quiet on here!!! Are you all out enjoying the sun? I'm not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow after having such a lovely week off :-( Just made my packed lunch whilst prepping todays lunch so it seems like I'm just waiting to go now!!

8 week scan. Not very clear but you can see the little limb buds :p
  • Told my parents yesterday and it went really well :) Hubby told them because I was too nervous and my dad gave me a huge huge hug, and my mum just stood there saying 'oh my god really?'. Hubbys parents and sister were over the moon as well. So got the midwife appt on wednesday and then my early scan on saturday which I'm really nervous about! xx

Morning ladies, are you all well?

I have put my work clothes on this morning after a week off and they are getting decidedly snug! I'm glad they were too big before I got PG or I'd be having to invest in new ones already!! I keep having to re-adjust my t-shirt as its now tending to sit tight across my bump and I'm sure people will notice!!! I'm hoping to find out a bit more soon about what's happening with job changes and redundancies at work so I have a better idea where I stand and how best to work it with telling them about being pg. I'm soooo sik of it, this time 2 years ago we were being 'restructured' and everyone had their lives on hold waiting to see what was happening, we'd just all got settled and then they're doing it again. I understand why they need to but they just take so long over it and keep us totally in the dark.
