New Look have quite a lot of winter coats, infact loads when I was in yesterday Emsbet, I'm sure you'd be able to find something you like there. I tried on a few non maternity and in a bigger size I think they'd be ok, well hopefully. They were all pretty cheap tooThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Morning everyone, just been catching up on the last two days, Hi to all the new ladies and good to hear you all sound like you are doing well :0)
Me and OH had a fab time at Silverstone on Wednesday, and I managed to stay sickie free all day!!! Had our booking in appointment yesterday, midwife seems lovely. Just did lots of form filling and had my blood pressure taken, have to go to the doctors for my blood tests on 4th October and should get a letter in the next couple of days to say when the first scan will be. She said they usually do between 11 + 3 and 13 + 6. She has changed my EDD to 2nd May but that will probably change when I have my scan as I am pretty certain I pin pointed it correctly so will leave it for now.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel less pregnant now than they did when they got there BFP, I dont know if its the feeling sick most of the time but I just feel really fed up at the moment. I really thought I would enjoy pregnancy :0( It'll be worth it though and hopefully I'll perk up when I see the little fella0 -
Emsbet, I have tried peppermint tea before but I don't know if it helps as I can't drink it, its minging!!!! I'd be even less likely to get it down now the way I'm struggling with drinks!!!0

I'm thinking about starting a family but both my mum and my sister suffered terrible morning sickness, so much so that my sister lost half a stone in two weeks because she could not eat anything, does anybody know if it runs in the family? i have quite a big commute to work and it would be good to be prepared!0

My Mum suffered very badly with morning sickness and always told me not to ttc until I was definitely ready. I dont want to jinx things but Im nearly 10 weeks and so far I feel sick quite a lot but havn't actually been sick (yet!). So I don't think it necessarily does run in families, from my experience anyway0

PP, dont be put off of having more due to sickness! I was very sick with all 3 DDs, not enough to be admitted to hospital, but sick everyday all the same. This time though, Baby number 4, no sickness, not at all! Had a slight hangover feeling hte first few weeks, and nothing since
turns out this one is a boy though, so hang in there hun! xx
Ooooh Emmylou, I've not had any ms either. Does that mean I'm going to have a boy as well? Can't wait to find out when I have my next scan, 9 more weeks to go!

Scan yesterday has moved my due date forward - now the 27th March! 13+3
I was expecting the nuchal fold to be done - but she didnt - however even if shed tried shed of struggled I have a bouncing around like a lunatic baby in there - which insisted on being stood on its head the whole time - but bean did keep waving at us.
It was so reassuring - we got shown the brain, the working kidneys, the belly, the heart, bean was keen on showing us her hands (yes Ive counted the fingers)
She struggled to get the head circ as it kept wriggling and then it kept bouncing and spinning as she was doing the top to tail measurement.
Everything looks fine apparently.
Im in awe - my scan picture looks like my baby has a skeletor head though:rotfl:
Oh and I was an hour early to get there and got seen straight away (I hadnt even drank all the water I was meant to but got a clear view of bean for 15mins bouncing around) And there was no oh we might struggle to get a clear pic like id read online that some larger ladies get when they go for a scan -phew!!!Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
Congratulations on the successful scan Phunkles! :j Glad everything is ok and you got to see lots of baby
Lisa I don't really like peppermint tea either so if I have it I tend to have it with a chocolate biccie so it tastes more like mint chocolate. Probably defeats the object of drinking it though!:rotfl:

Thanks. I did have a look yesterday but I think I'm just too fussy!
I've seen one in Mothercare that I really like and was half price but when I put in my size it was still full price as was the next size up!:(

My car has passed it's MOT!!!! Thank god!!!
Apparently MIL is pestering DH to get me to say what I want for my Birthday (30th!) and Xmas this year, I haven't a clue!!!! I'm not really a presents sort of person, I love getting them but most things people buy for pressies aren't my kind of thing! MIL would love to get me smellies, posh moisturisers etc but I just don't use anything like that! SHe had me looking at some watches the other week that were over £100 as she said she'd like to get me one of those for my 30th but they weren't my cup of tea. Plus I already have one best watch and I hardly ever wear it but I love it so if I was going to wear one I'd be likely to chose it over any other one anyway!!!0
