Congratulations Becc4, sounds like you've had quite a journey! I've heard so many stories of couples going through years of IVF, only to have a holiday or a break of some sort, and then to fall naturally. You must be so excited! And as for the scan date being on the same date as your IVF meeting, well, that's just fate! I wish you a happy and healthy nine months ahead!

Hello ladies. has anyone experienced nausea when eating?! most of the times i feel fine but as soon as i start eating i start feeling sick and i'm not sure if it's okay or not. I made the mistake of sharing that with my dad and he said something like "oh, i'm not sure if that's right!" to be fair my reaction after that made me sure i was still pregnant.. it was along the lines of "shut up" and "you're not pregnant so how do you know?!"
might have overreacted a tad... oops.

    Morning Ladies!!

Congrats to Becc4, its exciting for all of us but must be even more so when you've been waiting so long to be here. Try to relax and enjoy it....easier said than done I know!!! Good luck at your scan.

Alizee, i'm pretty sure that's normal! It's not something I've experienced myself as food makes me feel better but I've been lurking on the PG forums on here for rather longer than I care to admit and I'm sure I've read about other people having similar symptoms. Are you managing to eat anything or is it bad enough to stop you?

Last night I was soooooo tired! I had to go do a few jobs for my dad as he's still not up and about after breaking his hip and mum had to work late, I was sat watching a bit of TV with him and I kept falling asleep. Then I went home, did a few jobs then got on the sofa with my blanket as I was a bit cold. I kept falling asleep again!! Dh was at work till 8.30ish and he always rings me to say he's on his way home then I get tea ready for him coming in. Next thing I knew I woke up from a really deep sleep, feeling totally rubbish and it was 9pm!!! I had loads of missed calls from both DH and my mum as he'd rung her in a panic lol!! I can't believe I slept through my phone ringing, it's a really sharp ringtone that makes you jump even when you're expecting it!!! Normally it takes hardly anything to wake me up!!

And I still feel pretty tired today so I'll be having a nice relaxing evening after work today, although I have some cupcakes in the freezer that I want to do something with and I'll bring them to work for the lads, I reckon I'll probably just stick a bit of melted choc on top, these lot are worse than premenstrual women when it comes to chocolate!!!

    oooh look what I found!!

'It is fine to eat whole cuts of beef and lamb such as steaks, cutlets and joints (but not rolled joints) rare, as long as the outside has been properly cooked.'

    It's from here http://www.nhs.uk/Planners/pregnancycareplanner/pages/Carewithfood.aspx

Seriously good news for those of us who love a good steak lol!!!

Lisa i can eat but maybe once or twice a day, little meals. for example yesterday i had cereal (no problem eating that) , a sandwich (felt sick, had to stop halfway through and continue later) and i cooked a massive dinner, sat down to eat it and couldn't even touch it, so i'm not going to starve but it's frustrating

Alizee I was exactly the same. In August when we went on holiday I wasted so much money. I never felt sick until I ate. I didn't think too much into it and just tried to snack on little bits every couple of hours.

Even now at 13 weeks I can't face a main meal, can't face meat and struggle eating lots of things, apart from chilli and jelly tots lol.

I do feel a lot better now than I did then, was prob about 7 - 8 weeks. Good luck and hope you start to feel better soon.

Has anybody got any cravings? If so what.

I never did with my DS, don't really now apart from crisps and tuna pasta. Not really a craving but that is what I always want to eat.
  • lisa26 I was exactly the same with falling asleep on the settee with the blanket at about 8pm. I would get DS to bed, OH usually texts about half an hour before he is home so I can get our tea out, but I too have on occassions been fast asleep.

Now I am 13 weeks I do feel less tired but still tired if that makes sense. I can now manage to stay up til 9:30 instead of 8pm lol.

Congrats becc4. Fantastic news, enjoy the journey.

I still feel stupidly tired all the time, but not really having any other big symptoms, just the odd feeling of nausea if I get hungry - feel nauseus in the mornings until I eat, and then I am fine!

Hope everyone else is doing well x

    Hi ladies

Could I just remind those who don't know that the ttc+ thread was created as a safe place for ladies who struggle with long term fertility problems, because they found it upsetting to be on a TC thread where people were getting BFPs quickly and to be surrounded by pregnant ladies. Whilst I am sure the sentiments were well meant, it really isn't kind or fair to pop onto that thread to parade that you have no fertility problems yourself, particularly if you are also pregnant.

Speaking as someone who endured years of fertility treatment, it is a private grief and it really really doesn't help to have even close friends much less strangers tell you that they pity you.

I wish you all well with your pregnancies but please don't let your current joy make you insensitive to how others may be feeling. A lot of the ladies on ttc+ at the moment are right in the middle of assisted cycles and will be especially vulnerable.

I have deleted my comments and will take my well wishes elsewhere.

When my son's biological died I was very upset about some people posting about their children's dad, about having happy relationships etc, but I didn't ask people to stop posting.

Rest assured I won't go back. I feel quite hurt really but never mind.
