Candlewax - sorry to hear about your bleeding, it could be implantation bleeding at 5 weeks? I can understand how frustrated you must feel. Try to relax if you can. Hugs xx

Hi candle wax, I feel your frustration, there isnt much you can do but wait and there is nothing you can do to change the outcome. Im not sure but I think it is too early for a scan to show much. I had early scans at 7 weeks, one which showed a baby and one didn't and there was no difference in the amount and type of bleeding at that point. Hugs Hun xx

Candlewax I hope the bleeding has stopped. It is incredibly frustrating having to wait. When I had bleeding in my first pregnancy I went to the doctors at 4+4 and had to wait until 6 weeks before they'd scan me as they don't do them before 6weeks here as that's the earliest they can realistically see a heartbeat. It was the longest week and a half of my life.
Big ((hugs)) I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Have any of you ladies had experience with UTIs? I've never had one so don't know what to look for but I have had backache and lower abdomen pain both only on the right hand side since yesterday. I initially thought it was just stretching but I have noticed that it is worse when I urinate or when I need to go. I don't have any burning when I urinate. Does it sound like a possible UTI? I'm not looking for medical advice (I have my hospital appointment tomorrow anyway so will ask then) but just wondered about other people's experience of UTIs

Emsbet I had a kidney infection that sounded something like that.
I found it really difficult to sit comfortably as my back was so sore and when I walked it felt like someone was sort of pounding me in the back. I got antibiotics for it and drank lots of water and it cleared up in a week or so. Not saying that you have what I had, I'm sure the doc will sort you out!

Thanks Gtothec. It doesn't seem so bad now so maybe it was just stretching. I've got some cranberry juice to drink. I have to take a urine sample tomorrow so I'll mention it to them

emsbet - Ive had that lately - the pains on the right hand side and it getting worse when I need to go to the toilet and the sore back - ive had kidney infections in the past and mine normally start with a sore back too so Ive been really in two minds whether to go the gp or not. However when ive had them in the past it hurts to wee and i go desperate for a wee and then a trickle comes out. Ive also googled appendicitis this last week though not that ive got an overactive imagination or nothing honest:rotfl:

However my baba is lying on myright hand side coincidentally where the pains are and im presuming its where she/he is wriggling and pressing against my bladder so the pain gets worse when I need the toilet.

It also hurts more depending on what trousers I have on and how im sitting for a period of time xxxx

But id ask at your appointment tomorrow

Thanks for all of your good wishes. It was confirmed at the hospital today that I have lost the baby.
