So sorry candlewax, look after youself xxx

Emsbet, the main reason you have to take a urine sample to all appointments is for them to check for UTIs as they are really common in pregnancy so they'll be doing it anyway. Make sure you'll be able to do another wee if needed as usually they dip it and if it shows any signs of infection they get you to do another sample in a special pot with some powder stuff in so they can do more tests on it. I don't think the dip test can confirm an infection, it just finds signs that could be an infection.

hi ladies, sat down with hubby last night and made a mini list of things we will need, i think i'm still in shock at the sheer volume, so we've decided to split responsbility he will get all functional items I'm in charge of teddys and toys! lol. ( i was like OMG bottles how many will we need, he was in fits of laughter). I was reading ythe posts about coats and I'm glad I'll be able to borrow my hubbys softie (military jacket which is so roomy and warm just perfect for winter, hubby is currently preparing an emergency car kit for me as he deployes to afgahan end of Novemeber, hopefully returning in time for beans arrival. sorry if it seems I'm rabbiting on but we've decided to keep it to ourselves until scan.
Making small changes, hoping they will last....

Candlewax - I'm so sorry for your loss. Huge hugs :A

    Pistachio - welcome

Becc - you may not need bottles at all. If you breastfeed you won;t need them for the first few weeks at least, so don;t rush to buy loads of stuff yet! Just get the basics, like babygros and nappies, and you can always go to the shops after baby comes (or shop online). I didn;t use bottles at all, ever, so they are not a total necessity.

I'm doing well. Knicker-checking as ever, but not panicky any more, and have a definite bump already!! I am convinced it is twins but my friend said it is just out of shape tummy muscles! :rotfl: But a bump at 6 weeks?! I feel sick a lot (hurrah!) and have gone right off meat, I just can't eat it. My scan is on Friday morning, and I'm starting to let myself get a tiny bit excited instead of just apprehensive.

  • Good morning all!

Hugs to candlewax, very, very sorry xx

Congrats to emsbet, you've graduated to the next thread, see you in three days time over there, it really has gone quick hasn't it? :)

Had a lazy weekend myself, did absolutely nothing which was good cos I just don't have the energy, even going upstairs is hard work. I really really hope I get my energy back soon as I want to get back into doing exercise, to minimise the fall on my level of fitness.

Hugs to all that need them and good luck to those with their scans coming up soon

I know I can't believe it's 12 weeks today. I'm going to wait until after my appointment at the hospital this afternoon before I officially move over there.

    xx
