Mishka I think it's because not everyone has an "average" 28 day cycle with ovulation on CD14. So if you have a longer cycle and ovulate later using your LMP as a benchmark will put you at later on than you actually are. LMP is only used as a guide for doctors in the early stages. Dating by scan is more accurate.

Glad they moved your scan date. I have everything crossed for you.

Can't believe how fast this thread moves! Too scared to log on at work in case someone sees what I'm doing and discovers my secret :) Am hoping that if I keep posting, the 'Newbie' sign will disappear - don't like it much!

Glimmer - Thank you for the Ritz & apple advice, I do find that apples are tolerable. Was also very proud of myself for eating an orange, only for it to splash into my keyboard and now my arrow keys are stuck!!

Amymo - I agree with everyone else (including your mum!), I think you should tell your sister. So glad your mum's supportive :)

    LegalBlonde - welcome and congratulations!

2522laura - I find that regular use of the Sanctuary Spa 5 minute thermal face mask helps. It's a bit pricey, but worth its weight in gold. It doesn't make my spots disappear completely (I'm not sure any product can do that...) but it calms them down and makes them look much less red & irritated. I wanted to post a link to it, but the MSE Police told me that as a new user I'm not allowed

flutterby_lil - So sorry to hear you've been feeling rubbish, hope scan made you feel better - really glad it went well. ((hug)) to you!

Simple338 - Yay to scan :), boo to bean not letting you get proper pictures :(

Emsbet - Hope holiday was good! What are you doing for your birthday?

I actually slept reasonably well last night and feel OK today! :j Amazing what a good night's sleep can do for your well-being; although had a horrid dream - so shocking I think it's best not to share it here (although thankfully it didn't involve babies)....

bless ya emsbet you are always so logical :rotfl: Thank you !!!

I think in the back of my mind im worried the dates being so different may indicate more problems, I just couldnt see why mine were less when others gain more :o

only 3 more sleeps to go and the wait will be over ! :o

:rotfl:Willing to admit that my username was inspired by the only thing I could face eating for an entire week - bread & Nutella. I might regret choosing that name in a few days' time when I will no doubt go off it and move on to some other random craving!

If it helps when I had my early scan they moved me back two days which ties in with what I thought tracking my cycle. I'm pretty sure I ov'd on CD15 so that's one day. Eggie may have not met sperm until the day after ov plus sometimes beanie takes a longer to implant.
If you ovulated say CD20/21 and had a 35 day cycle, that would move your days back a week..... I think that's how it works :o

Haha maybe! I've been terrible for wanting something, having it once then not wanting it anymore. It as been frustrating at times.

Mishka I was put back 2 weeks at my scan, (but I knew I would be as I knew the date I conceived) I have a 35 day cycle though, so it would only have been a week if I was a 28 day cycle.

Ooh jezza Kyle, sounds like a good day off emsbet, enjoy your birthday! Mishka my friend was put back for the same reason but was nothing to worry about, we just have different cycle patterns, another thing to occupy our already crowded minds!

Travelodge dinner tonight, feeling uninspired but hungry! I'm gonna spread out on the big bed and lovely dh will enjoy a more restful sleep at home without my heartburn waking him up!

Has anyone found anything that helps with their spots? Mine are driving me crazy, if I couls lock myself in the house until they clear up I would :0( I am using Clinique Anti blemish solutions which was working well before I got pregnant but now I have loads of red horrible spots that just wont go away. Any advice on how to get rid of them or at least make them look a bit better would be appreciated. I will ask the midwife when I see her on Thursday too.

I have spots too and at 11+1 I think they are getting worse rather than better! I've been using simple face wash, cleanser and moisturiser and then witchstik to dab on the spots. TBH they haven't cleared them up but I guess they go quicker than they would if left alone.
Using an oil free moisturiser should help stop your pores getting too blocked.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi all and congratulations Legalblonde!

I have booked my early scan for the 30th. I would much rather have had one for free, but as I cannot see my MW till i am 9 weeks I have had no choice. I don't think they are as medical as the last place I used, where the lady was a specialist on scanning in early pregnancy, but it is much cheaper (£75 versus £120) and we are skint at the moment.

So, a week on Friday I should have some positive news. I POAS today, my last CB digi and got 3+ weeks which is spot on so I am trying to relax and be positive.
