This place is a lovely safe haven, thanks to all who responded last night, I needed a boost, you're all lovely people :A

Told my mum this morning as I'm away for work this week, delivering training which I hate doing, shy soul that I am, and so feeling really fragile, she gave me the biggest hug and I knew immediately that telling her was the right thing to do, you never stop needing your parents do you :o she encouraged me to tell my sis on Thur when I get back and will have a quiet word with my Dad, he's not the sole of discretion so she will impress on him that at just eight weeks he's lucky to know, and can't tell a soul, she's a star my mum and I know DH will be disappointed that I couldn't hold off, but when you need your mum you need your mum...

    Hi Amymo
Your mum sounds lovely and it should make it easier with her support. Funny how no matter what age you are a hug from mum can make the world a better place. Fingers crossed for talking to your sister.:D

Mishka, its not just the length of your cycle either- its your luteal phase as well. I knew the date of conception down to 2 days, but going by my LMP the doctor wanted to give me a date about 10 days further than it should have been, simply cos i have a short LP. I eventually persuaded her that booking all my appointments that far too early wasnt going to be good as i my 13 week scan would be too early etc, so we manually adjusted my LMP to fit the conception!

I've fallen in love with a coat from Mothercare - it's FAB. Does anyone know what their sizes are like - generous or on the small side?.... I'd need to order online so would be good to know. Any advice would be much appreciated!

You're not going on and on. At least no more than I have ;):p

It's completely understandable that you are worried. I've been the same, still am and while DH is wonderful and understanding I often get the feeling he doesn't get it really. It's difficult for him to because it's not his body and he doesn't feel every twinge or see every odd looking bit of CM.

That's why this thread is great because you can chat to others who understand, so type away, we won't get bored or fed up :)

Hi ladies I have never posted in this section before but could anyone give me your advice/outcomes please ???

I got my bfp on 20th august 1-2 weeks on a digital and a faint line on frer now last night i went toilet before bed and i wiped myself and there was blood so i was worrying so I put a pad on for in the night and I didnt bleed so I rang EPU today see if I could have a scan and theys said I need to be referred so my doctor has referred me for a scan on wednesday.

When I come home there was a patch of blood it was like brown I think like old blood and ever since (upto yet) I have not had any blood on my knickers but everytime I wipe myself there is bright red blood!

Also the other day when I was in bed I noticed patches of blood all over my bed from where I had slept but I was not worried because I didnt have any pains.

Now I am sooo worried :( I am bleeding bright red blood when I go the toilet everytime I wipe myself ive got a stomach ache but nothing really painful just uncomfortable I cant eat because I am worried ive got a banging headache too!

Has anyone else bled in there pregnancy and everythings gone ok? Also a strange question but why do I only bleed when I wipe myself?!

    Thanks x
Proud mummy to 3 beautiful children who I love so so much :oxxxx

If it's bright red I'd go to the doctor to get referred to EPU, if only to give you peace of mind.

Is the blood definitely vaginal? Sometimes UTIs cause blood in the urine.
Some people do bleed while pg and go in to have successful pregnancies and healthy babies.

I'm afraid I can't offer anything concrete for you. The scan will be able to do that for you. It's terrible having to wait and I know it's easier said than done by try not to stress as it's no good for you and beanie. Try to rest as much as you can and keep up your fluid intake (I've read somewhere that it can help with spotting).

Sorry I've not been much help.
