  • Oh and glad about your private scan skinchick - how much do they cost. I am in lancashire and fancied one, anyone had one near here?

I had a look at ones near Bolton. They looked to be about £80-90 for early scan which I think is fairly standard. Strangely the later scans 20+ weeks are cheaper.

  • Thanks for everyones support. Must have been something in the air last night as I slept horrendously aswell. Musnt have fallen asleep until around 5am and I am so tired today.
The main problem I have is that me and my son lived at my partners house and so have had to leave and am currently staying with my dad. This is not ideal as it means we are having to share a bed and the stress of living with family when all I want to do is be left alone is becoming quite hard. I just feel so lost and if everything us just going to go wrong.
I have to be strong but it's easier said than done. My son is also on a school residential on Monday for 3 days and I am not looking forward to it as I will have nothing to occupy my mind.
    Sorry for moaning ladies

  • How long had you been together, can you not sort things or is it defo over?

Time is a great healer honey, bit of a cliche but in 6 months time you will look back and smile :) sending much needed hugs. You need to chat pm me as I know just what you are going through x
  • We've been together about a year or so. I'm not sure it can be sorted out to be honest. He has told me point blank that he doesn't want this baby and isn't prepared to tell his other children or parents of it's existence. I just don't know how people can be so cruel. I know I need to look after myself but it's so hard at the moment.

Having fun on my holibobs. Although I had a cr*p night's sleep last night. I never sleep well in a strange bed, that coupled with my recent inability to sleep properly made for a long night. Oh well I may have to have a nap this afternoon :)

Lisa have you had anymore spotting?

Glad you're having a nice time. I've had a bit of brown tinged cm but not enough to call spotting even really. Have you had any more?

Happydays, your OH sounds like a right charmer.....NOT!!! I know it won't seem like it now but if thats his attitude then you really are better off without him! I hope you make him face up to his responsibilities, its still his baby wether he likes it or not!!!

I'm having a lovely relaxing day, I have done some jobs but nothing too strenuous. I'm under strict instructions not to do to much and even my mum is saying it so I will take notice as she doesn't say stuff for no reason!!! Unlike MIL who panics over the slightest thing and drives me insane with all her worrying!!
  • Hi everyone, hoping I can poke my nose in here for a little reassurance!

I found out yesterday morning that I'm pregnant, 4 weeks today according to my dates and happily freaking out about everything! Hubby is over the moon, I'm getting there but worrying about everything from how to afford it to miscarriage stats on the way.

How on earth do I keep myself sane?! xx

Hi hamster_lady, its very difficult to not worry, particularly in the early stages! Thats the beauty of this thread, being able to talk about stuff with other people who are going through the same thing.
  • Fab, I get the feeling you could be getting very bored of me in that case! Just nice to have somewhere as we're not telling any family until we're a bit further along, work are the only people who know at the mo!

Thanks for the reassurance that I'm not alone! xx
  • I worry about people getting bored of me aswell hamster lady but everyone is very friendly and always seem to have reassuring words available whenever they are needed.
