simple, I'm so glad all is OK. What a worrying time for you. Hope the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful.

happydays, try leaning forward when you wee to fully empty your bladder. But if you're worried, see your GP. Sadly I think going to the loo constantly is just something we pg ladies have to put up with!

I POAS again today to see if the hormone has been increasing, and got a dark line almost immediately, so that was reassuring. I am a bit of a nervous wreck, so hoping I might be able to persuade my MW or GP to give me an early scan - does anyone know what reasons they might do one? Would two previous miscarriages be enough do you think? We can't really afford one privately but I check my knickers for blood every time I go to the loo, and am petrified of having another miscarriage. What are my chances of getting an early scan on the NHS?

I think it depends on how sympathetic your doctor is. I had a tiny amount of spotting (less than the size of my small fingernail) and my doctor booked me in. I told her much it was and expected her to say not to worry but she booked me in straight away- probably because of my mc the previous time. Other doctors might have said to wait and see.

Maybe explain your anxiety to your doctor and hope (s)he will be nice. If it were me I wouldn't be adverse to a few tears to help my cause ;):o

    Congrats Emily x

Simple, you must have had a horrible weekend! Glad all was ok with the scan.

Booking in tomorrow for me. By the time its done its not worth me coming back to work as its an hours drive so I get most of the afternoon off!

Feeling a bit yukkyagain this morning and I'm very tired!! 10 6am get ups down, 2 to go! Can't wait for a lie-in on Saturday!
  • Oh skintchick i really feel for you, chin up sweetie.

I agree with emsbet, a few tears should help you get an early scan although depends on how sympathetic your doc is.

I had some bleeding, enough to wear a pad and rang the EPAU. I was hysterical on the phone and they were lovely, didn't have to go through my doc. They arranged a scan as soon as they could, was about 3 dyas later. When I had my booking in appt with midwife I had asked for an early scan as I have had a mmc before but she said no, they wouldn't scan early as they would have to do my 12 week scan as well so was a waste of resources. I know the midwife as I used to work with her but it still didn't work, still no early scan even though I have miscarried.

Can you ring your early pregnancy unit hon and say you have had spotting and are extremely worried?
  • Hi everyone, I am 7 + 6 today - and have my booking in appointment tomorrow, I must admit I am terrified, don't really know why other than it took us 4 years to get here, and I am so nervous something is going to go wrong. I am really struggeling at the moment - I want desperately to enjoy the process but I feel rotten, I am more tired than I can ever remember being, I am not sleeping, partly due to not being able to get comfortable, but also because I am weeing about 6 times a night, and having some odd, vivid dreams! I am very much looking forward to the next stage when this tiredness is supposed to go away a bit! We bought a cot bale yesterday - was on sale in Tesco of all places - a really bright Winnie the Pooh set, it is lovely, and half the price we thought we would end up having to pay!! Hope everyone else is getting on ok? x x

  • Congrats snoopytweety.

The anxiousness and nerves are all normal for everyone. I can imagine you are somewhat worse than most after having such a long journey to get your BFP.

The weeing and dreams are normal too, so is tiredness. This will subside. I am almost 12 weeks and feel a lot better this week, best I have since mid july. I have just today started to eat so much, not been too bad last few weeks.

Good luck tomorrow. Isit with the mw? She will normally take medical history, do blood, give you a bounty pack and voucher etc.

    Not far away!!!

Congrats snoopy. I have similar symptoms and am 7+something. I can't remember last nights dream but I could when I woke up and it was proper weird!! I'm also eating like a horse! I go from full to starving in a split second and then I feel sick/dizzy. I had my snadwich that I brought for lunch with breakfast instead so have scrounged some bread to have with my soup. I have a real thing for toast with soup atm, not bad for someone who doesn't like toast!!!

As I'm eating so much I'm trying to keep it healthy but when I'm REALLY hungry fruit and stuff just won't do, I need carbs sharpish!!

Tonight we're having chicken enchiladas (will add some peppers and mushrooms), mexican rice and some mini peppers that I grew that will be stuffed with some sort of mixture of cream cheese and jalapenos and maybe some smoked paprika and oregano or something.
  • Hi all, glad everyone's doing well and those of you who had scary moments had good news.

In my news - I had some bleeding last week, went to the EPU for an early scan and they can't see what they should be able to at this stage (just a sac, rather than anything even vaguely resembling a baby). I've been booked in for a follow up scan next week in case our dates were wrong but the bleeding has gotten worse over the last couple of days, so I'm thinking we're out this time around. Onwards and upwards and all that; and on the up-side we're going on an all-inclusive holiday at the end of next week, which I intend to take full advantage of.

Best of luck to everyone here, hope that the rest of your pregnancies go swimmingly :) (I'll probably stalk you all anyway, just to see how you're going...). xx

I've not really had the needing to wee a lot, only sometimes (I think I'm not drinking enough in the day when I'm at work :o)
I'm soo glad I'm not the only one that isn't weeing lots, was starting to get worried cos i remember going loads last year yet seem fairly normal now.

I'm having a really crap week, started my new job last week and had three days off sick cos i was having pains and got admitted to hosp, now this week i still feel awful and have had to tell my work, needless to say they arent very happy as I've only just returned from mat leave and will be going again in feb!! Little man seems to be struggling settling in to nursery and wont let me go in the mornings and then looks like he's been crying when i pick him up - and this just makes me feel worse about leaving him :(

To top it all off i've just sat at my desk crying because my clothes dont fit properly and I have to have my jeans undone in order to feel comfortable lol

Hope everyone's ok, best get back to work now! xx
Mummy to a very gorgeous little boy and baby girl :D
